How would the founders have dealt with the ACLU?
As the majority of Americans prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the distant left is diverting their attention from Sarah Palin’s Nielsen ratings to the annual effort to eradicate Christmas from public life.
Thanks in large part to the passivity of Christian America, over the last decade the ACLU has managed to suppress many of our country’s Christmas traditions.
The fallacious separation of church and state argument is the usual justification and the religious principles and convictions of America’s founders have been distorted to the point that atheists and secularists are widely propagating the idea that the founders would have had no reverence for Christmas because “the majority of the founders were not even Christian”.
It’s not hard to disprove this nonsense, but at this time of year it is particularly joyful to do so. And the writings of most of America’s founders exhibit an intensity of faith that today’s Christians would do well to emulate.

The impact of Congress’ repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell
Democrat’s liberal lame duck party ended on a high note with more social engineering of the US military. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was “conditionally repealed” by a 65-31 vote in the senate. Open homosexuality (kissing? camping Liberace?) will not be permitted until the president, secretary of defense and head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff can certify a permanent repeal “will not impair military readiness”. Gee, wonder how that will turn out?
Republican votes included RINO stalwarts Snowe ME, Collins ME, Murkowski AK, Voinovich OH and Scott Brown MA, plus Obama replacement Kirk IL, and for some reason, Ensign NV and Burr NC.
While the media has bandied about polls which would seemly indicate that the average soldier has been clamoring for “homosexual rights”, an Army Lieutenant Colonel has submitted his resignation in opposition to Congress’ repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
What will be the ultimate effect of forcing open homosexuality upon our military?

Earmarks Of Contempt

That paltry “1% of the budget” amounts to $16 Billion
Our representatives in congress are getting fed up. Especially republicans. They kowtowed to the rubes on the right during the campaign, swearing off the GOP’s disgraceful spending excesses when last in power. Fiscal responsibility, spending cuts and balanced budgets – republicans said what we wanted to hear.
But now we the people for some reason expect a say in how congress spends/wastes our tax dollars. And the electorate’s first demand is, of all things, an end to one of congress’s most beloved perks – Earmarks.
Last week our senators made it clear that’s going too far. The senate, including eight republicans, voted down a measure banning earmarks. And after all, what are we the rubes hollering about anyway? As senators of both parties keep harping, earmark expenditures amount to only 1% or so of the budget. Why just look at this chart you …you …you right wing idiots. Peanuts!
That paltry 1%, however, amounts to over 16 Billion dollars. And the problem, senators, is that you think that $16 billion belongs to you.

Is Glenn Beck A Christian?

In other words, Is Mormonism a Christian religion?
“It is not a unity of religion we seek but a union of religious people. We may not be able to meet in the same pew, but we can meet together on our knees”- Archbishop Fulton J Sheen.
Since opinions seem to differ amongst amateur theologians, let’s just ask: As a Mormon is Glenn Beck a) a Christian, b) a non-Christian, c) somewhere in between, d) a pagan, e) just a #@!^&# conservative?
Mormon bigotry in Christian America is hardly unheard of. Prior to the 2008 primaries some registered republicans in Iowa received “Christmas cards” wishing them Merry Christmas from “Mitt Romney and his wives”.
As organizer of the 8/28 Restoring Honor interfaith rally, and a radio/television commentator who unabashedly wears his Mormon faith on his shirt sleeve, Glenn Beck is the latest prominent personality to prompt the question “is Mormonism a Christian religion”?

WikiLeak Leaks Arab World’s Opinion On Iran

The world wants and needs President Obama to act
WikiLeak, if nothing else, has definitely demonstrated some serious deficiencies in our national security. If lose lips sink ships, America is about to lose its Navy down to the last tugboat.
Aside from the continuing national embarrassment, this latest deluge of documents splashing across the internet is particularly interesting for revelations of the Arab world’s private opinion on how to deal with the imminent possibility of a nuclear Iran.
A tricky issue according to President Obama and Secretary Of Defense Robert Gates. One that has called for “restraint” during Iran’s nuclear build up, lest a joint American and Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities provoke massive outrage in Arab countries friendly to the US.
The WikiLeak leaks, however, indicate just the opposite. The Arab world has actually been calling for the US to join with Israel in striking Iran. For all our sakes. So why the delay with a literal doomsday clock ticking down before us?
It doesn’t have anything to do with Israel.

Big Sis Is Serious About Security

“National Security” symbolism over substance
Big Sis is serious about security – when it comes to American citizens. Boarding a commercial airliner in America now requires one and all to either stand virtually naked before a Big Sis Peeping Tom X-Ray Vision Viewer or submit to a greet and grope session with a TSA airport security guard.
Airline security is a serious matter and in light of the “underwear bomber” incident last Christmas, and the small amount of sophisticated explosive material necessary to blow a hole in the side of an airplane, it is not an easy call to say that any measure may be construed as going too far in passenger screening. But this certainly may be it.
And in view of Secretary Of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano’s record as Governor of AZ, and the Obama administration’s political correctness uber alles approach to national security, the Big Sis peep and feel program is the epitome of symbolism over substance.

The liberal talk crowd seems perpetually obsessed with the leadership of the republican party. The incoherent general consensus is that the upfront faces, from Michael Steele to Mitt Romney, are mere figureheads. Pawns in the hands of Rush Rasputin and Sarah Machiavelli, the true manipulators of the vast right wing conspiracy.
The democratic party, on the other hand, is comprised of a cohesive, perfectly diverse, albeit ever so slightly to the left of center, group of patriotic Americans transparently working for the best interests of our country. Really.
At least that was the story until Glenn Beck came along. In his three part series “The Puppet Master” Beck conclusively settled any question on who controls the democratic party. Progressive billionaire George Soros. Aka The Currency Buster, who has America in his sights.

He Lost

Nov 2 was a national repudiation of Barack Obama on every front
When Barack Obama took office his message for republicans was short and sarcastic – “I won”.
The American people were put on notice that, by means of a single victory, Barack Obama considered himself empowered to take our nation in that “new direction” he had envisioned since his days as a leftist community organizer. With complete control of congress, and the media on a string, who could stop him?
Those *%#^ American people. Who chose yesterday to “cling to their guns or religion” rather than follow the messiah of socialism.
This morning, slumping in his chair in the Oval Office, President Obama knows only too well that this was not a mere mid-term election loss. This was a national repudiation of his ideology with losses on virtually every front.

The Senate Is The Key

Focus your resources and efforts on the long shot senate races
With five days to go to go there’s little left to say about the mid-term elections. Displacing Nancy P from the House Speaker’s chair is already a foregone conclusion. Things look good for six pickups in the senate. The key now are four somewhat long shot senate races. Victories in any of these races would provide a resounding bang for each small campaign donation or volunteer hour we can muster.
The election of true conservative republicans to the senate is critical in the country’s effort to stop the Obama socialist steamroller, restore the judicial integrity of our courts, defeat energy taxes and “global warming” treaties and end the scourge of abortion in America.
On our Senate Elections 2010 page we have listed four crucial contests where a Tea Party conservative has real chances to displace a progressive liberal.
