The feminist takeover of the Girl Scouts seems firmly entrenched
It’s Girl Scout Cookie season and those green boxes, filled with those fantastic cookies many of us have gorged on for decades, and the beautiful, heartfelt faces of the little ladies hawking them, are virtually impossible to resist. But donor beware. The money donated for those delectable cookies is not being used as it in previous years.
This time last year we detailed the liberal feminist takeover of the once venerable GSA in The Progressive Girl Scouts Of America. Regretting turning down the eager faces standing in front of the supermarkets (and missing the cookies) we decided to update last year’s post hoping for a change for the better.
Sorry cookie lovers. And even more sorry for America’s daughters

Our attempts on behalf of the Afghan man sentenced to death for converting
Last week we posted an article on Said Musa, a 45 year old Afghan Red Cross worker and father of six, who was arrested by the Karzai government and sentenced to hang for converting to Christianity.
The case had received little attention in the media. We asked for readers to call their congressional representatives and bring Said Musa’s plight to their attention.
We did so, calling the offices of our congressman and both Nevada senators. The results were mixed, to say the least.
The old adage “tell it to your congressman” proved sound. Our senators, however, were another story.

We need to be cutting federal programs, not just their budgets
Harry Reid, responding through a spokesperson, obviously had not even seen the list of cuts before launching into demagogue mode. “Republicans are already pushing extreme measures like privatizing or making deep cuts in Social Security”.
Social Security is not mentioned in the republican proposal and where do “oil company giveaways” come in on spending cuts?
The real significance of the list is not so much the cuts themselves, but rather why we have allowed the “stewards” of our economy to waste precious tax dollars on so many of these programs in the first place.

Afghan Red Cross worker to hang for converting
Over 1,400 American men and women have died liberating Afghanistan from Taliban Islamic extremists. Billions have been spend/squandered propping up the corrupt “democratic” government of Hamid Karzai. Yet on February 10, Said Musa, a 45 year old Red Cross worker and father of six, will be hung for converting to Christianity.
Said Musa lost a leg to a land mine in the 90s. He is seen in the picture working with a young amputee, Musa’s job with the Red Cross for the last 15 years.
Where is our human rights president? America might not have the influence to intervene with the stoning of women and hanging of homosexuals in Iran. But we have no influence in Afghanistan?

Barack Obama may be playing it just right
During the two weeks or so of demonstrations and rioting in Egypt, every pundit from network anchor to novice tweeter seems to know exactly what is going on in President Obama’s mind and behind the scenes at the White House, State Department, CIA and Pentagon. Depending on the viewpoint, the president is either throwing a 30 year ally under the bus, throwing open the gates of democracy for the Egyptian people, or throwing Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Christian Conservative Spectator hasn’t said a word. But at this point the situation in Egypt is about as good as could have been hoped for. So it’s time to reign in the rhetoric and give our President some breathing room. And the benefit of the doubt.
