Alan Keyes On Obama And Romney – “Satan vs Beelzebub”

July 20, 2012

Maybe Alan, but “before we can triumph, we must survive”

We first saw, and came to greatly admire Alan Keyes in the 1996 and 2000 republican primary debates. A true conservative, and an articulate and powerful debater, Alan mopped the floor with the other candidates.

We supported Alan in the primaries and he would have undoubtedly been a great president. But unlike the utterly unqualified Barack Obama, conservatives need to establish a credible political record in order to be considered a serious candidate for the presidency. We have regretted, and never understood why Alan Keyes refused to work his way up the political ladder.

Alan later renounced the republican party, as have many conservatives. And on principle, we could not agree more.

But in a recent article, in which he refers to the 2012 election as a “Choice Between the Devil and Beelzebub”, Alan Keyes is calling on conservatives to turn their backs on Mitt Romney. And here we could not agree less.

Mystery Woman Exhorts Church To Engage Politically

July 13, 2012

President’s Pill Mandate would redefine what constitutes a religion in the eyes of government

Who is this mystery woman? For a hint, here is a recent quote.

“Our faith journey isn’t just about showing up on Sunday… Jesus didn’t limit his ministry to the four walls of the church. He was out there fighting injustice and speaking truth to power every single day. He was out there spreading a message of grace and redemption to the least, the last, and the lost. And our charge is to find Him everywhere, every day by how we live our lives….”

“Democracy is also an everyday activity. And being an engaged citizen should once again be a daily part of our lives.”

And the speaker is 1) Dr Alveda King 2) Michelle Obama 3) Sarah Palin 4) Kathleen Franklin Graham 5) Somebody Else

RadiantCross.org – Defending Faith, Life & Family In America

July 4, 2012

Christianity is not a passive religion

RadiantCross.org is a call for Christian America to unite in defense of freedom of religion, the God given inalienable right to life, and the sanctity of marriage and the family.

The first half of 2012 has emphasized that such an effort is truly needed. We have already seen a major assault on freedom of religion, further efforts to establish abortion as a basic healthcare right, and two more states legalize homosexual marriage.

With membership building, we are in the process of expanding RadiantCross.org into a Ning based Christian activist community with News, Featured Blogs, a Members’ Blog and a Discussion Forum.

Our goal is to counter the likes of MoveOn.org, Media Matters, and Daily KOS with a website witnessing for Christ and evangelizing Faith, Life & Family 24/7/365.

Don’t Blame John Roberts For Obamacare

July 1, 2012

We can thank George Bush – and look to ourselves

Should conservatives be surprised at the Obamacare decision, especially at Chief Justice John Roberts casting the deciding vote? Yes. Stunned? No.

Several conservative talk show hosts and commentators had expressed the opinion that the weak link would prove to be Roberts rather than traditional swing vote Justice Anthony Kennedy. The concern was that Chief Justice Roberts would feel compelled to prove his independence. That his Court, the Roberts Court, was above all political considerations.

Convoluted thinking to say the least, if that was the case, because Roberts has only shown himself to be a weak-kneed jurist who was cowed into reversing a decision by the President and the media.

Thursday’s decision was a constitutional and judicial fiasco. But Roberts was right about one thing in his Obamacare decision. We the people have the government we asked for, and it was not the Supreme Court’s task to save us from our folly.
