Republicans Hand Obama A Win With Do Nothing Debt Deal

August 2, 2011

The nation’s future lies in a Tea Party takeover of the GOP

The end of the debt crisis saga was written before it began. Nothing got done.

The debt ceiling will be raised, President Obama has been given a blank check to spend another $2.4 trillion dollars and the paltry $1 trillion in “cuts” republicans are crowing about will be spread over ten years.

And for all those who just fell off a turnip truck, a “Super Commission” is the oldest dog and pony show in Washington.

Nothing was done to address unemployment and Obama’s blank check virtually ensures that America’s credit rating will be lowered for the first time in history.

A do nothing debt deal was a win for Barack Obama. And this is not what America envisioned when the republican party was handed a mandate on the economy in November.

Confronting Obamanomics On Taxes

July 8, 2011

This is the debt crisis scenario Barack Obama orchestrated

Unemployment is again moving towards 9.5%, with true unemployment somewhere around 17%. The country is $14 trillion in debt and democrats want to borrow more. The housing market is still in collapse and gas prices are further crippling our crumbling economy.

Our country and congress are polarized over a looming confrontation on raising the debt ceiling. Barring an agreement America will go into default.

Our president, however, is taking it all in stride with plenty of time for vacations, golf outings and fundraisers. The economy is, in fact, is just where he wants it. As we predicated in March 2009 in Obamanomics – The Key To The Socialist Revolution, this is just the crisis Barack Obama had hoped to orchestrate.

Stewards Of Our Economy

February 12, 2011

We need to be cutting federal programs, not just their budgets

Republicans announced their targeted $100 billion in federal spending cuts this week. Democratic leaders were predictably quick to tear their vestments and cry “sacrilege”.

Harry Reid, responding through a spokesperson, obviously had not even seen the list of cuts before launching into demagogue mode. “Republicans are already pushing extreme measures like privatizing or making deep cuts in Social Security”.

Social Security is not mentioned in the republican proposal and where do “oil company giveaways” come in on spending cuts?

The real significance of the list is not so much the cuts themselves, but rather why we have allowed the “stewards” of our economy to waste precious tax dollars on so many of these programs in the first place.

SOTU 2011, 10, or is it 09?

January 27, 2011

Same Old, Terribly Unbelievable address to the nation

Tuesday’s SOTU address varied from deja vu all over again to prime time in the Twilight Zone. We’ve heard all this before, from the same man.

Maybe it’s still 2010 – inherited the worst recession ever, high unemployment, massive debt, the president has the answer, the federal government will “invest in jobs” and “invest” in education. Actually this could be 2009 too.

Then the president says “The steps we’ve taken over the last two years may have broken the back of this recession..” No wait! It must be the 80s! Oh thank goodness!

But whoa! What did the president just say? “Sputnik”? Maybe it’s actually the 50s. Never knew that Ike was uh, well… so young.

SOTU 2011, 10, or even 09. Just another Same Old, Terribly Unbelievable address to the nation.

Earmarks Of Contempt

December 11, 2010

That paltry “1% of the budget” amounts to $16 Billion

Our representatives in congress are getting fed up. Especially republicans. They kowtowed to the rubes on the right during the campaign, swearing off the GOP’s disgraceful spending excesses when last in power. Fiscal responsibility, spending cuts and balanced budgets – republicans said what we wanted to hear.

But now we the people for some reason expect a say in how congress spends/wastes our tax dollars. And the electorate’s first demand is, of all things, an end to one of congress’s most beloved perks – Earmarks.

Last week our senators made it clear that’s going too far. The senate, including eight republicans, voted down a measure banning earmarks. And after all, what are we the rubes hollering about anyway? As senators of both parties keep harping, earmark expenditures amount to only 1% or so of the budget. Why just look at this chart you …you …you right wing idiots. Peanuts!

That paltry 1%, however, amounts to over 16 Billion dollars. And the problem, senators, is that you think that $16 billion belongs to you.

The Commission Made Me Do It

February 18, 2010

“These are tough times and we can’t keep spending like they’re not…”

Is Barack Obama angling for a Nobel Prize for Bold Faced Effrontery? Or does our president simply believe that the IQ of the average Joe in America is somewhere in the range of his bumbling, well below average Joe? Either way, Mr Obama’s creation of a “debt commission” is yet another example of his Audacity Of Arrogance.

The purpose of this commission is “to try to restore reason to the fiscal debate and come up with answers”. For a full year now, Barack Obama has turned “tough times” into sheer misery with his self-styled “economic policies”. Massive spending bills, massive budget proposals, government interventions into the private sector, attempts to implement crippling health care and and energy taxes. Policies which defied all reason.

But policies that have served the president’s purposes quite nicely. The stage is now set for Phase II of Obamanomics. Massive tax increases, which will be recommended by Barack Obama’s new National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.

State Of The Progressive Mess

January 28, 2010

“I’m not quitting”

What state our union is in. What a mess. The economic downward spiral of the country continues with progressive job losses, progressive increases in unsustainable debt, progressive declines in home values, and a progressive devaluation of our currency. A progressive loss of confidence in the competency and integrity of our elected officials instills fear for the future.

America awaited, with cautious optimism, President Obama’s address to the nation last night. The president, it is was rumored, had heard the voices of the American people. Mr Obama was willing to admit that perhaps a more centrist approach was in order.

Such rumors instantly spread outrage among the distant left. They had voted for a Che Guevara, and ended up with a Harry Truman. OMSNBC talk hosts could be seen visibly struggling to hold in the word “traitor”.

Today, however, all is well on the leftist front. Ideology has proved to be more important than common sense and prudence. President Barack Obama’s solution for stabilizing the floundering ship of state? A progressive intake of water.

Diversion & Dove Bars Bring In The Real $Green

June 29, 2009

House passes global warming boondoggle while America obsesses over Michael Jackson

The bizarre national days of mourning for long faded, drowning in debt, pathetically mentally ill former pop star Michael Jackson were the perfect cover for Nancy Pelosi to ram the Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade, “global warming” bill through the house and down the throats of the American people.

Global warming has long been a dubious premise. The latest research has indeed rendered the whole Al Gore self grandizing, self profiting nonsense completely fictitious. And the vast majority of the electorate clearly opposes any type of bogus “global warming legislation”, which amounts to nothing more than a massive energy tax on the nation.

Thus, top democratic strategist Stanley Greenberg recently advised house members not to even mention the term. The only hope, Greenberg said, was to try and ” sell” (fabricate) the hope that “Cap And Trade” would somehow be beneficial to the economy.

Obamanomics- The Key To The Socialist Revolution

March 2, 2009

Socialism thrives on economic control, not prosperity

President Obama’s “economic plan” basically consists of 2.3 trillion dollars in government spending and partial nationalization of the banking system. Franklin Roosevelt implemented a similar approach to deal with the great depression, without success. Nor did a similar plan work in Japan.

Previous presidents, taking the opposite approach of utilizing tax cuts to stimulate business expansion and consumer spending, successfully brought the country of recessions of varying severity.

With all the historical data to the contrary, how can President Obama actually believe that encumbering America with trillions of dollars in debt will revive the economy?

He doesn’t.
