Romney & Perry Talk. Santorum & Bachmann Walk The Walk

October 21, 2011

Tea Party members inexplicably brush aside the real conservatives in the race

What Christian conservatives want in a presidential candidate should be an open book.

Upfront, a family person of faith with proven character. Philosophically, a candidate who believes in small government, low taxes, a free market economy, the right to life, the traditional family, etc. Intellectually, someone who can think on their feet and defend their positions in debate.

Every four years every republican claims to be just such a conservative, as in this year’s primary debates. But listening to the talk, without examining the walk, is how we were burnt by Bush I and Bush II, whose presidencies ended in disaster.

And that appears to be the road we are headed down again. Fool us three times, well, shame on them. Fool us this time and America might not survive the consequences. If conservatives are serious about putting up a real conservative in 2012, they better start looking toward Rick Santorum and Michele Bachmann.

Republicans Hand Obama A Win With Do Nothing Debt Deal

August 2, 2011

The nation’s future lies in a Tea Party takeover of the GOP

The end of the debt crisis saga was written before it began. Nothing got done.

The debt ceiling will be raised, President Obama has been given a blank check to spend another $2.4 trillion dollars and the paltry $1 trillion in “cuts” republicans are crowing about will be spread over ten years.

And for all those who just fell off a turnip truck, a “Super Commission” is the oldest dog and pony show in Washington.

Nothing was done to address unemployment and Obama’s blank check virtually ensures that America’s credit rating will be lowered for the first time in history.

A do nothing debt deal was a win for Barack Obama. And this is not what America envisioned when the republican party was handed a mandate on the economy in November.

Pelosi’s Siren Call To RINOs

April 11, 2011

“Take back your party” translated

The fundamental reason for the republican train wrecks of 2006 and 2008 was that many conservative and moderate right voters simply came to the conclusion that there wasn’t a “dime’s worth of difference” between the two major parties.

One would think that the republican leadership would now be vowing to keep their minds forever right after the Tea Party led the GOP out of the ash heap last November. But based upon the republican’s conduct during the budget battle, it seems that the difference between parties may be more like a nickel’s worth.

Indeed, republicans seem more comfortable sharing a smaller portion of the spoils than risking giving up the spoils altogether.

And nothing could underscore the mindset of privilege that both parties have acquired than Nancy Pelosi’s recent call to her RINO colleagues to drop the election rhetoric and let members congress get back to doing business. For each other.

Stewards Of Our Economy

February 12, 2011

We need to be cutting federal programs, not just their budgets

Republicans announced their targeted $100 billion in federal spending cuts this week. Democratic leaders were predictably quick to tear their vestments and cry “sacrilege”.

Harry Reid, responding through a spokesperson, obviously had not even seen the list of cuts before launching into demagogue mode. “Republicans are already pushing extreme measures like privatizing or making deep cuts in Social Security”.

Social Security is not mentioned in the republican proposal and where do “oil company giveaways” come in on spending cuts?

The real significance of the list is not so much the cuts themselves, but rather why we have allowed the “stewards” of our economy to waste precious tax dollars on so many of these programs in the first place.

Just Another Day For The Obama Media

January 10, 2011

The president’s fifth column attempts to capitalize on the Gifford attack

It was sure as the sunrise. The moment the news broke on the barbaric attack on Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords there was no doubt that the lowest of the left were gearing up to lay the blame for the shooting on their “enemies” – Sarah Palin, the Tea Party and talk radio.

Within three hours of the shooting NY Times columnist Paul Krugman blogged that Gifford was targeted “because the Republicans nominated a Tea Party activist… and yes, she was on Sarah Palin’s infamous ‘crosshairs’ list”.

The following day, when the little that was known about the attacker indicated that mental illness was the most likely motivation, Krugman followed up with a full blown “editorial” dramatically titled Climate Of Hate. Pious Rev Al Sharpton linked the attack to “the senseless violence… in the social and political discourse of this country”. Daily KOS founding kook Markos Moulitsas tweeted “Mission accomplished Ms Palin”.

As the nation grieved and prayed it was just another day for the Obama media. Tragedies are there to be exploited.

The Foundations Of Responsible Government

January 5, 2011

Tea Party House shows long overdue reverence for the Constitution

Classes in the Constitution, reading the Constitution on the floor of the US House Of Representatives, reading bills before they are voted upon. What’s our government coming to?

Let us pray that we may once again be seeing the foundations of responsible government. A government responsive to the American people.

The completely irresponsible actions of congress over the last decade, especially over the last two years, clearly indicate that our elected representatives either have not understood, or had utter distain for, their oaths of office in which they swore to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States”.

Not the president, not their party, not their congressional caucuses. The Constitution.

Setting It Right On Reagan

September 7, 2010

OMSNBC portrays the Gipper as a milk toast RINO

Liberals are masters of rewriting American history. Fabricating the past is necessary in order to make liberal positions seem reasonable, or to at least make some kind of sense.

America, it now appears, was founded by a diverse group of secularists and atheists of all races who had fled England in search of gender equality and the freedom to marry anyone or anything they might fancy at any given moment.

The latest rewrite for political propaganda purposes is the transformation of President Ronald Reagan. To hear it told at OMSNBC, America’s most successful and highly esteemed Christian conservative president was actually the epitome of a pandering Steele/Powell/Graham type “big tent” RINO. Falling all over himself to promise something for everyone in the hopes of garnering a few extra votes.

Well they can’t fool us on this one. Al Sharpton founder of the space program? Maybe. Ronald Reagan a milk toast RINO? Bald faced lie.

Tea Party Kool Aid

July 1, 2010

Tea Party activist needs to withdraw from AZ republican primary

The AZ republican primary on August 24 is of critical importance for conservative hopes to take back the republican party. J D Hayworth has mounted a serious campaign to unseat ultimate RINO Senator John McCain-Kennedy. As sour as many of us are over the republican party, only a republican party revitalized by new leadership, committed to the true principles of Regan style conservatism, can halt the Obama socialist steamroller.

The Tea Party has been a major factor in this revitalization. Tea Party endorsed conservatives have steadily toppled RNC establishment backed RINOs in this year’s primaries. Concerns over the Tea Party movement evolving into a third party, thereby splitting the republican vote, have thus far proved groundless.

But a Tea Party activist is threatening to derail J D Hayworth’s effort in Arizona by splitting just enough of the conservative vote to enable Mr Maverick to keep “reaching across the aisle” for another six years.

Groundwork For A “State Of Emergency”?

April 20, 2010

Obama media operatives portray opposition as potential insurrectionists

In Big Picture Man we warned against complacency in the November elections. With utter disregard for the mounting opposition to his policies, and dire polling data for democrats, President Obama has made it clear he intends to continue dragging the American people, kicking and screaming, down the road to socialism.

We attributed the president’s optimism to a three point plan to minimize democratic losses in November- amnesty, “financial reform” and restoration of voting rights to convicted felons.

But something more ominous is in the wind. The persistency of Obama media operatives in portraying citizens voicing opposition to the president’s agenda as racist anarchists inciting insurrection. Just typical left wing hyperbole? Or is the groundwork being laid for a declaration of “National State Of Emergency?”

Tea Party Of Principles

April 14, 2010

Tottering left slings racial mud at Tea Party Movement

More than any political movement in recent history, The Tea Party is the party of principles. The principles upon which this nation was founded. Small government, responsive government, low taxes and strong national defense. The fundamental basis for a vibrant free market economy and a free society.

The Tea Party movement continues to grow across America and the distant left is running scared, plagued by nightmares of Sarah Palin taking the oath of office in the not too distant future.

And with no ground on which to defend the disastrous socialist policies of the Obama administration, the left has reverted to their traditional fall back position. Labeling the members of the Tea Party movement as racists.
