The Obamas’ “Date Night” And The Audacity Of Arrogance

Socialism Results In A Two Tiered Society- Get Used To It

There was once a man who wrote a book titled The Audacity Of Hope. The book portrayed the idealistic aspirations and great humanity of the author who longed to do great things for his country, and its dispirited people. He mounted a campaign for his country’s highest office from where he could reinvigorate the national spirit through “change”. He would take America in a “new direction” sweeping aside the traditional greed, corruption and gridlock inherent in old style politics and government policies.

And 53% of his countrymen responded, some with an almost religious fervor, electing him President of The United States of America. Expectations were high, especially for our spiraling economy. Barack Obama’s beautifully expressed ideals and philosophies, espoused in the Audacity Of Hope, would be the foundation for the end of the recession, job growth, recovery of the stock market, the rebuilding of 401k and pension plans, and a renewed spirit of entrepreneurship in America.

The “new direction” of the economy, however, is anything but hopeful. Every Obama economic policy to date has been geared to one purpose- socialism. Obamanomics. The country has been encumbered with trillions of dollars of debt and no foreseeable way to pay it off other than raising taxes, inventing new taxes and the inflationary printing of more money. The federal government, never known for its financial acumen or efficiency, has seized control of several of our major banks and two of our auto manufacturers. Unemployment continues to escalate.

Indeed, on Monday the president said that the government bankruptcy/takeover of GM would result in more job losses and more economic pain for the American people.

But socialism, by nature, produces two tiered societies. And those in government who are dictating sweeping, radical changes upon the American economy are not meant suffer under them.

Thus it is for us lower tiered folk, America’s new proletariat, to understand it socialistically acceptable, even during an economic crisis bordering on a depression, for Mr and Mrs Obama to utilize two government planes, three helicopters and untold secret service personnel to go on an evening “date”. To New York City. Which, of course, will also be billing taxpayers for services rendered the romantic couple.

There are apparently no restaurants or theaters meeting the Obamas’ standards to be found, a limo ride away, in Washington DC.

Picture the members of the former Soviet politburo, riding through the streets of Moscow in chauffeur driven Mercedes, waving at their “comrades” standing in lines for their twice weekly meat ration, to take back to their one room flats.

The president certainly knew that this self indulgent excursion would draw criticism. In an expression of complete arrogance, he made it clear that he just didn’t care. In the two tiered socialist society, power is achieved to be exploited and enjoyed. Sometimes, one just needs a heck of a lot of audacity to do so.
