Dealin’ America The Race Card From The Bottom Of The Deck
OMSNBC “hosts” slander and polarize America
As opposition to socialized healthcare mounts across the nation, the Obama administration is beginning to lose its grip. The building blocks of a socialist nation, carefully set in place over the last seven months, are clearly starting to crumble at the edges. Government control of its citizens’ access to medical treatment is the capstone to a socialist monolith designed to overshadow every aspect of life in America (a couple more Justices Sonia Sotomayor would help too). Without that all important capstone, the whole scheme will disintegrate as more and more of the America people see it for what it is.
Time to pull out all the stops. Time for the president to once again wield the invincible weapon that can always cut down any opposition to his will, often before it can even mount. The race card.
Candidate Obama dealt the race card to the Clintons during the primaries. He laid the race card on the electorate during his condescending, cliché ridden “race relations’” speech, promoted by the media as superseding the Declaration Of Independence, Gettysburg Address and Magna Carta for it’s profound effect on mankind. President Obama exhibited the smoothness of a river boat gambler in utilizing the race card to push an unqualified, activist socialist judge onto the US Supreme Court.
But the attempt to use the race card against the majority of American citizens, adamantly opposed to handing over their healthcare to government’s inefficient, heartless, greedy grasp, cannot be tied to the president himself. Such dirty work must be handed off. Adherents of the president must be utilized who are so overtly partisan and sycophantic that they can be trusted. People so blatantly unethical that they would consider dealing the race card from the bottom of the deck to an undeserving, unsuspecting America to be nothing more than a day at the office.
Somebody get MSNBC on the phone.
Not being tuned in to MSNBC regularly, the race card shuffle seems to have begun on Friday, with Barack Obama groupie, as in “when he speaks I get a tingly feeling up my leg”, Chris Matthews interviewing liberal columnist Cynthia Tucker of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Tingly Chris: “Go in any one of these rallies, these people that fill it… strap ‘em into gurneys, inject them with sodium pentothal, how many of them would say ‘I don’t like the idea of having a black president,’ what percentage?”
Tucker: “I’m just guessing, this is just off-the-cuff – I think 45 to 65 percent of the people who appear at these groups are people who will never be comfortable with the idea of a black president.”
So there we have it, the ugly truth ferreted out by “The Place For Politics”. Half, or more, of the American citizens who claim that they are opposed to the democratic party’s healthcare “reform” legislation are actually just vicious redneck racists. We’d all jump on the bandwagon for the joys of government controlled healthcare, as experienced in Canada and England, if only it were presented as Palin Care.
The racist reference was thrown out again by a guest on Rachel Maddow’s show who labeled healthcare opponents at town hall meetings as angry white people who couldn’t get over the election.
Yesterday, MSNBC host Carlos Watson took it another step further, laying the race card on opponents of socialism in general: “I want to talk about a word that we’re hearing more and more, and that’s the word socialist. You hear it from a lot of conservatives these days, that’s usually critiquing the President, or more broadly Democrats. …But what concerns me is when in some of those town hall meetings… recently where there were jokes made about lynching, etc., you start to wonder whether in fact the word socialist is becoming a code word, whether or not socialist is be coming the new N-word…”
Mind you, we don’t spend more than twenty minutes of hilarity a day monitoring MSNBC. And yet we just happened to hit upon these instances of American citizens being labeled as ugly racists, solely on the basis of their opposing the democratic party’s healthcare legislation. We likely missed a few.
It is common practice for the distant left to paint those who oppose their policies with the mud that actually drips off of their own rhetoric and tactics. Former President Clinton was adept at labeling republicans in congress as racists, enemies of seniors and heartless Scrooges who hated the poor. He would then hold a press conference at which he would decry the “politics of personal destruction”.
In a similar fashion, the distant left continually labels conservatives as racists. But it is exactly those on the left who never hesitate to deal out the race card when they consider it to be to their slightest benefit.
Last night Senator Barbara Boxer appeared on Rachel Maddow’s show. Boxer seemed on the point of tears as she thanked all the lackey MSNBC hosts, by name, for a “free media”.
Free, apparently, from the traditional ethics of journalism by distorting the truth and shamelessly biasing programming in favor of a political party. Free to ruthlessly slander those who question that party’s policies. Free to lobby for issues (”Cap And Trade”/global warming) financially favorable to MSNBC’s parent company, GE. Free to deal the ugliest of race cards, or do anything else MSNBC sees fit, as it functions slavishly as a propaganda outlet for the current government.
Hence, the new, more appropriate call letters of OMSNBC.
That is the sad, ugly news as disseminated by an outlet of the once proud and respected NBC. The good news? Based upon OMSNBC’s ratings, virtually no one in the country heard the whole nonsense.
