Planned Parenthood’s New Reality Series

Planned Parenthood pretty much always gets it wrong. But even for this voracious arm of Abortion Incorporated, one has to be surprised at the videos popping up of PP’s 180 degree juxtaposition on NBC’s hard hitting reality series “To Catch A Predator”. NBC’s Predator crew would use decoys, posing as underage teens, who went online waiting for predatory adults to try to lure them into a sexual rendezvous. The predator chumps would gleefully show up at a house, usually with condoms and liquor, only to be greeted by NBC’s Chris Hansen who would interview the creeps and then send them out to police for arrest. Justice well served.

In contrast, the Planned Parenthood video sequences can clearly be run under the heading “To Protect A Predator”. Planned Parenthood seems to have nothing to do with justice.

FOX News Bill O’Reilly and Hannity & Colmes recently aired two undercover investigations which videotaped Planned Parenthood counselors covering up reported instances of statutory rape.

In the two segments, filmed in Indiana and North Carolina, investigators posed as 13 and 15 year old girls seeking abortion and birth control information because they were sexually involved with men in their 30s. All 50 states have laws mandating report of any case of statutory rape (consensual sex with a minor).

In the Indiana case, pro-life activist Lila Rose, posing as a 13 year old seeking an abortion, reported she had been impregnated by a 31 year old man. The Planned Parenthood female counselor said “I don’t want to know how old he is, OK, OK?” The counselor explained that she would have to file a report with Children’s Protective Services. “I didn’t hear the age, I don’t want to know the age”.

Of course not. It’s certainly nobody’s business if a 13 year old just happens to be impregnated by a 31 year old man. Let’s just get you started on that abortion Ms 13 year old. Children’s Protective Services! What is this? The middle ages?

In the North Carolina segment on Hannity & Colmes, Sarah Hardin, a volunteer from Students for Life of America posed as a 15 year old seeking birth control. She told the Planned Parenthood counselor that her boy friend was in his thirties. The counselor said that was a “concern” because “it’s statutory rape”. Yes it is statutory rape, a crime which was supposed to be reported. But the so-called counselor apparently wasn’t “concerned” in the least. She merely made an appointment for the 15 year old girl to obtain birth control later that day. Next girl please.

After this clip aired, a little comic relief was provided by supercilious liberal Alan Colmes. Berating undercover volunteer Sarah Hardin as being the real culprit, Colmes carried out his role as left wing robot, always on hand to defend the indefensible:

Colmes: “You were taking up their valuable time by going in under false pretenses and reporting a crime falsely that never happened. Right?”

Hardin: “Women go into Planned Parenthood to get help, and Planned Parenthood is not giving them help by protecting their abusers, Alan.”

Colmes: “You don’t like them because they’re pro-choice. They offer abortion counseling. They offer the opportunity for women to exercise their choice. And because you don’t like that, you’re playing a game of gotcha with them?”

Talk about Gotcha! Here, facing the most indefensible of circumstances, Colmes instinctively falls back on the liberal “Abortion Uber Alles” mentality that Ann Coulter (and just about anyone else) would appropriately label “Godless”.

The Hannity & Colmes clip was removed by You Tube as “inappropriate content”.

These are not isolated incidents, but rather part of a pattern that Lila Rose and groups like Students For Life have been exposing. In 2005 a Cincinnati Planned Parenthood clinic was sued for failing to report the rape of a 14-year-old girl. The same clinic was sued again two years later for failing to report a case of incest.

In Los Angeles last year, Lila Rose went into a Planned Parenthood clinic posing as a 15 year old pregnant by a 23 year old man. Another “To Protect A Predator” style counselor encouraged her to falsify records. If the girl could “figure out a birth date that works”, she could obtain that all important abortion without having the poor man reported to police. Another abortion to be rung up on the cash register. Another predator protected.

Maybe it’s all just a lack of understanding. Maybe PP just needs to hire Dateline NBC’s Chris Hansen as a consultant (and conscience) on what to do with sexual predators. Or maybe Planned Parenthood, as a major tentacle of Abortion Incorporated, just considers these guys good for business.
