Someone Always Suffers For Abortion

June 11, 2011

Saint Maria Faustina suffered for “souls murdered in the womb”

Our Christian Conservative Spectator blog has temporarily moved off of politics to run a series of posts on “Turning America To The Divine Mercy” as offered to mankind by Jesus through the Diary Of Saint Maria Faustina.

Perhaps at no time in our history has America as a country been in such dire need of God’s Mercy, and the state sanctioned genocide of 52 million helpless boys and girls in their mother’s wombs is without doubt the greatest reason.

Cloaking the dismemberment, decapitation and poisoning of our children as a “freedom” may be Satan’s greatest achievement. A woman’s freedom or “right to choose”, we are told by feminists and the billion dollar abortion industry, is a “privacy issue” which impacts no one else. But someone always suffers for each abortion.

Jesus Himself made that clear to us when Saint Faustina began to experience nightly sufferings in “reparation to God for the souls murdered in the womb”.

Blessed John Paul II – The Gospel Life

May 1, 2011

This day John Paul II surely calls on pro-choice Catholics to come home on life

Today the Catholic Church celebrates the beatification of Pope John Paul II, the final step prior to Sainthood. On the day of John Paul II’s funeral in April 2005, Vatican Square teemed with signs reading “Santo Subito” – Sainthood Now. He was that kind of man.

Blessed John Paul II was the People’s Pope, by far the most widely traveled, popular, loved, and revered Pontiff in modern history.

The man’s inherent humanity renewed the church’s beleaguered image and his innate love of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, coupled with an incredible energy, revitalized the faith of millions of Catholics.

And all of these accomplishments, all of the love and faith that Blessed John Paul II inspired in people around the world, can be traced to the focus of his Papacy. The Gospel of Life.

Mother Angelica’s Seventh Station Prayer On Abortion

April 22, 2011

Praying for fallen abortionists

On this Good Friday we offer an excerpt from The Prayers and Personal Devotions of Mother Angelica, collected and edited by Raymond Arroyo.

Mother Angelica is the incredible nun who, starting with $200 and a vacant garage, founded the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) in 1980. EWTN is now the largest religious media network in the world. Mother was also the driving force behind the construction of a magnificent Shrine dedicated to the Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, AL.

Though now impaired by the effects of a stroke, Mother Angelica has always been an outspoken opponent of abortion, which she referred to as “terrorism” in our country.

Mother very appropriately incorporated the evil of abortion in her personal prayers for the Stations Of The Cross. At the Seventh Station, when Jesus falls a second time, Mother sets an example for us in praying for abortionists who have fallen so badly in their lives.

South Dakota’s Abortion Law Should Be Nationalized

March 28, 2011

SD bill will reduce abortions and protect vulnerable women

In 2008, tip toeing through the landmines that could implode his carefully packaged candidacy, Barack Obama insisted that though he was pro-choice, his goal was “to reduce the number abortions”. As president, Mr Obama has instead proved to be one of the most rabid pro-abortion zealots to hold any public office.

“Reduce the number” is among abortion supporters’ favorite scams. And many pro-choice Christians rely on this platitude to justify their support of liberal politicians who enable the abortion of more than one million children each year.

The whole charade crumbles, of course, when someone actually does try to reduce the number of babies being aborted. Which we saw again this week when SD Governor Dennis Daugaard signed into law a bill crafted to do just that.

Rejecting Emmanuel

December 21, 2010

God is no longer with us under Roe v Wade

Pro-choice “clergy” are quick to claim that there is no biblical foundation for opposing abortion. Granted “Thou Shalt Not Abort” was not blazoned into Moses’ tablets, but most would think that “Thou Shalt Not Kill” should be clear enough.

Among the many deceptions preached from pro-abortion pulpits, such clergy claim that the Bible says nothing about conception, pregnancy, and birth. Really? Must be referencing the New Planned Parenthood Standard Edition.

As Christianity prepares to celebrate the birth of our Savior, the child Jesus, we ask our pro-choice brothers and sisters to put aside the machinations of politically motivated clergy. Read and truly reflect upon the passages describing Jesus’ arrival.

There is simply no reconciling celebrating the birth of Jesus with supporting the mercilessness of abortion, which rejects God’s gift of children. Those who support Roe v Wade can no longer honestly pray “O Come Emmanuel”.

Come Home On Abortion November 2

October 30, 2010

Your choice on defending Jesus’ “Little Ones”

With the upcoming elections many Christians will again find themselves conflicted between the tenets of Christianity and the issue of abortion. As with every election, the proponents of abortion and the abortion industry have spent millions of dollars euphemizing and politicizing the horrible realities of abortion while demonizing pro-life candidates and distorting their positions.

Earlier this year we initiated our series on Bringing Christians Home On Abortion reaching out to those who have been misled on the truth of abortion in America under Roe v Wade.

But ultimately the decision on whether or not to help empower those who enable the 300,000+ abortions of helpless children in America each year lies between yourself and God.

Pro-Life Candidates Lead The Way On The Economy

October 19, 2010

Right on life is invariably right on the critical issues facing our nation

As the Tea Party started drawing national attention, and then began sweeping through the republican primaries, many Christian conservatives started asking where Tea Party candidates stood on life.

It seemed a legitimate concern. Tea Party rallies focused primarily on fiscal issues – taxes, spending, government controlled healthcare and the size of government. Nary a word about the right to life for all Americans.

No need to worry. The Tea Party backed candidates in the upcoming elections are, as far as we know, all pro-life, most receiving endorsements from prominent pro-life organizations and activists. And it shouldn’t be surprising.

A quick litmus test for candidates to lead us out of our economic morass is, in fact, their position on life.

“O Stupid Catholics Who Has Bewitched You?”

October 10, 2010

A parish priest’s message for pro-choice Catholics

We have often asked “Where is the Catholic Church” on abortion? Yes, Pope Benedict XVI speaks out adamantly and eloquently on the Church’s immutable stance on abortion as an “intrinsic moral evil”.

But messages from the Church hierarchy in America, the US Conference Of Catholic Bishops, have often been mixed. And the words and deeds of numerous members of the Catholic “establishment” have literally been scandalous in attempting to mislead America’s Catholics on their responsibilities in opposing abortion.

Since the 2008 election debacle, a few bishops have asked several notable pro-abortion Catholic legislators and government officials to refrain from presenting themselves at the communion rail. But the responsibility for guiding the Catholic faithful, and protecting their souls, on the issue of life cannot just be laid on the bishops. The guidance and admonitions must come from the parish pulpit, the parish priest.

One priest willing to lay it on the line for his congregation is Father Richard Perozich of Escondido, CA. Father Perozich recently wrote an article on the upcoming elections for his parish bulletin. For those of us wondering “where is the Catholic Church”, Father Perozich provides a clear message that we can hope all Catholics will take to heart.

Christian Indifference To America’s Nuremberg Law

October 2, 2010

Roe v Wade and the slippery slope to genocide

The majority of Christians who consider themselves “pro-choice” are not whole hearted supporters of abortion. Most would never consider abortion personally, nor support such a decision by a family member or friend. “Pro-choice” for such people simply amounts to “for anyone else, it’s legal and none of my business”.

But ask these same pro-choice Christians about their opinion of Germans who stood silent in 1935 when the Reichstag passed the Nuremberg Laws. The laws which stripped German Jews of their citizenship and legal rights. You’d get almost every answer other than it was “none of the German people’s business”.

Yet the Roe v Wade decision, pro-choice Christian brothers and sisters, promulgates exactly the same inhumanity, denying an entire group of citizens, America’s most helpless citizens, their fundamental right to life as stated in the Declaration Of Independence. Roe is, in fact, nothing less than America’s Nuremberg law.

Empire State’s Case Against Mother Teresa

August 26, 2010

Nothing hurts liberals like the truth about abortion

mother-teresa-holding-childToday is Mother Teresa’s 100th birthday. The little woman from Albania who devoted her life to the lepers, orphans and abandoned of India won the Nobel prize for her life of sacrifice for the poor and is on the fast track to sainthood in the Catholic Church. Even hardened atheists have expressed admiration for the nun who held countless numbers of the “least of our brethren” in her arms as they died.

Numerous events, around the world, have been planned to honor and celebrate Mother Teresa’s life and works. Except at the Empire State Building in Manhattan. Owner Anthony Malkin has flat out refused to honor Mother Teresa by changing the building’s lighting to blue and white for the day.

Malkin’s position has raised understandable ire, especially from the Catholic League’s lion-hearted president Bill Donohue.

In labeling Malkin’s refusal to participate in honoring Mother Teresa as Catholic bigotry, however, Bill Donohue is missing the point of the snub. John Paul II was honored after all.

So what’s not to like about Mother Teresa??? Easy. Mother Teresa was one of Christendom’s most outspoken opponents of abortion.
