Randall did some research and learned that networks must accept, and run uncensored, any ads submitted by candidates for federal office during the 45 days preceding a primary election.

Randall apparently has met whatever the necessary requirements are to run for president and raised enough money to air the following ad in 35 small markets during this year's Super Bowl.

And while we disagree somewhat with the harshness of the ad for a Super Bowl venue, there is no denying the truth of Randall Terry's message.]]></description>

And in doing so, candidate Terry is entitled to run a graphic anti-abortion political ad during the Super Bowl.</p>
<p>If anyone remembers, the Tebow family ran a pro-life ad during the 2010 Super Bowl which drew storms of protests from liberals. CBS reluctantly approved the ad which was really quite mild.</p>
<p>Well Randall did some research and learned that networks must accept, and run uncensored, any ads submitted by candidates for federal office during the 45 days preceding a primary election. Over the last year, Randall apparently has met whatever the necessary requirements are to run for president and raised enough money to air the following ad in 35 small markets during this year&#8217;s Super Bowl on NBC. And though these are considered small media markets, the ad will reach 35 million viewers.</p>
<p>The ad depicts graphic pictures of the remains of aborted babies, never to be born children who were the victims of the &#8220;choice&#8221; so many Christians support as a &#8220;right&#8221;. While the ad&#8217;s content seems overly harsh for the Super Bowl venue, and the rhetoric is not our style, there is no denying the simple truth that Christians who vote for the politicians who enable abortion in our country do aid and abet the merciless barbarities that take place every day in America&#8217;s abortion clinics.</p>

<p>At least two other pro-life activists have taken up on this idea. Former registered nurse Angela Michael is running unopposed as a democrat in Illinois&#8217; 15th Congressional district. Angela&#8217;s ad is similar to Terry&#8217;s and can be seen on her campaign website <em><a title="Angela Michael For Congress Website" href="http://www.angelamichaelforcongress.com " target="_blank">Angela Michael For Congress</a></em>.</p>
<p>David Lewis is running as a republican against Speaker Of The House John Boehner in Ohio&#8217;s 8th district. David&#8217;s ad attacks the Speaker for his  failure to end federal funding to Planned Parenthood and can be seen at <em><a title="David Lewis For Congress Website" href="http://www.davidlewisforcongress.com" target="_blank">David Lewis For Congress</a></em>. Frankly we disagree with David Lewis&#8217; contention, as we detailed last April in <em><a title="Radiant Cross Right To Life: Credit Boehner For A Partial Victory vs Planned Parenthood" href="http://radiantcross.org/Right-To-Life/2011/04/09/credit-boehner-a-partial-victory-vs-planned-parenthood/" target="_blank">Credit Boehner A Partial Victory vs Planned Parenthood</a></em>.</p>
<p>Though we may disagree somewhat with the approach of these three ads, Randall Terry, Angela Michael and David Lewis have worked long and hard to be able to air the pro-life message on the truth of abortion during America&#8217;s most highly viewed television extravaganza of the year.</p>
<p>At least some hearts will be opened, some minds will be changed. And undoubtedly at least one person (and hopefully many more) will be watching the Super Bowl in 2032 who would have otherwise lost his or her life in an abortion mill if not for Randall, Angela and David.</p>
<p>And that is what the pro-life movement is all about.</p>

Which it did. Within 90 days newly created Obamacare "high risk insurance pools" began accessing federal taxpayer funds to provide coverage for elective abortions. When the details began to leak, the administration was forced to pull back on the funding.

This was essentially a money laundering scheme designed to benefit the abortion industry and similar attempts will continue unless explicitly prohibited by law.]]></description>

<p>Though various progressive Christian groups took the administration&#8217;s word that Obamacare would not expand abortion under the guise of &#8220;healthcare&#8221;, anyone with an ounce of common sense understood that any healthcare legislation written by abortion zealots Obama, Sebelius and Pelosi would undoubtedly include provisions for the use of tax dollars to promote and subsidize abortion.</p>
<p>Which it did. When the details began to leak, the administration was forced to pull back on the funding.</p>
<p>This was essentially a money laundering scheme designed to benefit the abortion industry, and common sense again dictates that similar attempts will continue unless explicitly prohibited by law.</p>
<p>The Protect Life Act is sponsored by Congressmen Joe Pitts (R PA) and Dan Lipinski (D IL) and co-sponsored by 144 other Representatives.</p>
<p>The legislation specifically prohibits direct or indirect federal funding for abortions, or insurance coverage for abortion services, provided by Obamacare Insurance Exchanges and Community Health Centers, or any other Obamacare related program.</p>
<p>The token Conscience Clause incorporated into Obamacare, ostensibly to protect healthcare workers in facilities that receive Obamacare funding from being fired or otherwise discriminated against because they refuse to perform or assist with abortions, is, of course, a joke. The wording can be so narrowly interpreted that exemptions would not exist.</p>
<p>The Protect Life Act overwrites the Obamacare language, reinstating and increasing the traditional protections offered by Conscience Clauses.</p>
<p>The pro-life community will be lobbying House members extensively right up until Thursday&#8217;s vote. You can contact your Congressman through our <em><a title="RadiantCross.org White House And Congressional Contact Information Page" href="http://radiantcross.org/resources-white-house-congressional-contact-information.htm" target="_blank">White House And Congressional Contact</a></em> page. Phone calls are good, but if traffic exceeds a certain level are often blocked &#8211; especially when pro-life legislation is pending. A barrage of e-mails will help drive the point home.</p>

<p><em>Roe v Wade</em> notably deprived an entire class of American citizens, our pre-born citizens, of due process and equal protection of the law.</p>

<p>Bravo! Michele Bachman&#8217;s record, personal history and outspoken courage of conviction are the stuff true Christian conservatives are made of. Her calm and poise under fire increase with each one of these debates, and the more one sees of Bachmann, the more presidential she looks and sounds.</p>
<p>Mitt RomneyCare, who&#8217;s campaign slogan seems to be &#8220;Hey America, I&#8217;m not a radical Tea Party guy&#8221;, said he would oppose such an approach because it could provoke a showdown with the Supreme Court. Romney&#8217;s novel idea of ending abortion would be to appoint Supreme Court justices who would return the issue to the states.</p>
<p>That, of course, has been the approach for the last 38 years during which two generations of Americans have been decimated by the abortion of 52 million preborn boys and girls.</p>
<p>And my goodness what kind of president would ever dare to stand up to the Supreme Court? As Professor George pointed out, Abraham Lincoln.</p>
<p>As would President Michele Bachman.</p>

<p>As Christians we know that God has had a plan for each of us that reaches back into eternity. We were meant to live during this time. We have been given the challenge of stemming the tide of the modern age&#8217;s slaughter of the innocents.</p>
<p>The merciless horror of abortion could end within an election cycle if Christian America would only stand united in defense of God&#8217;s unborn children, Jesus&#8217; &#8220;Little Ones&#8221;.</p>

<p><a href="http://radiantcross.org/Right-To-Life/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/MFL-2011-Crowd.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2118" title="MFL 2011 Crowd" src="http://radiantcross.org/Right-To-Life/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/MFL-2011-Crowd.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="171" /></a>The 2009 and 2010 Marches For Life, though massively attended, were conducted in a perceptible air of grim determination and defiance. This year&#8217;s event had all the air of a boisterous rally for the future.</p>
<p>The overwhelming pro-life victories in November made all of the difference. America is saying &#8220;no&#8221; to NARAL, shredding Emily&#8217;s List and recognizing NOW as a thing of the past. The Year Of The Pro-Life Woman is setting the vision for the future.</p>
<p>The speakers&#8217; platform set the mood of exuberance, with numerous members of the new pro-life House outlining legislation to 1) repair the damage done over the last two years, and 2) lay the groundwork for ending abortion in America. Not by challenging <em>Roe v Wade</em> in the courts. By circumventing the courts.</p>
<p>New House Majority Leader Eric Cantor announced &#8220;the people&#8217;s House will stand unapologetically for life&#8221; and that Republicans’ “number one priority” will be passage of the <em>Smith-Lipinski No Taxpayer Dollars for Abortion Act</em> to plug the numerous loopholes allowing for federal funding of abortion surreptitiously written into Obamacare.</p>
<p>But <em>Personhood</em> may be the ultimate answer to America&#8217;s prayers. <em>Roe v Wade</em> did not center on whether life begins at conception. That is basically a foregone conclusion. The decision denying unborn citizens the fundamental right to life, as guaranteed in the Declaration Of Independence, was based upon the assumption that a fetus was not legally a person and therefore without rights.</p>
<p>In writing the Roe decision, Justice Harry Blackmun stipulated that if the &#8220;suggestion of personhood is established, the [abortion rights] case, of course,<em> </em><strong>collapses</strong>, for the fetus&#8217; right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment.&#8221;</p>
<p>The 70s and 80s saw several attempts to topple Roe via Personhood through amendments to the Constitution, a difficult process requiring two-thirds of the votes in both the House and Senate and ratification of the amendment by three-quarters of the states.</p>
<p>A 2008 Personhood state referendum failed in Colorado, though bills granting recognition of Personhood at conception are at various stages in other state legislatures, and there are Personhood petition movements going forward in all 50 states. But passage of a federal Personhood bill would settle the matter once and for all.</p>
<p>Senators Rand Paul (R KY) and Roger Wicker (R MS) are co-sponsoring the <em>Life at Conception Act</em>, a bill specifically defining the unborn as persons at the moment of conception and therefore entitled to protection under 14th Amendment.</p>
<p>With control of the Senate still in the hands of the democrats, and a sure veto against the rights of unborn children occupying the Oval Office, the Life At Conception Act is being denigrated in the media as an empty gesture to the conservative base.</p>
<p><a href="http://radiantcross.org/Right-To-Life/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Fetus-Sucking-Thumb-2.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2117" title="Fetus Sucking Thumb 2" src="http://radiantcross.org/Right-To-Life/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Fetus-Sucking-Thumb-2.jpg" alt="" width="197" height="197" /></a>Not as empty as Rachel Maddow would like to think. As we continue to point out, it has been precisely the Obama administration&#8217;s merciless zeal in expanding abortion that has effected the resurgence of America&#8217;s conscience over the unborn. This was clearly reflected in November, and senate democrats facing reelection in moderate states next year have surely taken note. It is important to force democrats to take a position on the personhood of an unborn child and it would be even better to force Barack Obama to have to explain a veto.</p>
<p>Though clearly an uphill battle, Personhood as a method of circumventing the courts and bringing down <em>Roe v Wade</em> is certainly worth pursuing. The culture of death, however, has its own, incredibly dark, definition of Personhood that the abortion/euthanasia lobby is certainly gearing up to pursue. We&#8217;ll get into that in our next post.</p>
<p>Addressing the March For Life rally, 85 year old Nellie Gray, founder and president of the March for Life Education &amp; Defense Fund, told the country that pro-life supporters had come to Washington to bring their message to President Obama &#8220;with love, and we&#8217;re willing to work with you &#8230; as the president of all the people, including the preborn.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Nellie need not have wasted her breath. Mr Obama had already commemorated the passage of<em> Roe v Wade</em>, referring to the dismemberment, decapitation and poisoning of 50 million unborn babies under Roe as &#8220;private family matters&#8221;. Mr Obama then went on to assure his benefactors in <em><a title="Radiant Cross Right To Life Abortion Incorporated Category" href="http://radiantcross.org/Right-To-Life/category/abortion-incorporated/" target="_blank">Abortion Incorporated</a></em> that he was &#8220;committed to protecting this constitutional right.&#8221;</p>
<p>There we have another distinction in terms. Legally a person, but not necessarily having a heart.</p>

Note that due to the actual anniversary, January 22, falling on a Saturday when most of official Washington is away, the march has been rescheduled to the following Monday.</p>
<p>The number of participants has been steadily increasing, with an estimated 300,000 gathered last year. People of all races, religions, ages, and walks of life. As one 77 year old woman stated, &#8220;it&#8217;s hard, but as long as I can walk I&#8217;ll be here&#8221;.</p>
<p>Especially notable among the faces seen are the increasing number of participants in their early 20s and younger. This contradicts the fact that the majority of America&#8217;s colleges and universities, including some faith-based institutions, are staffed with radical leftists and feminists. The distant left&#8217;s modus operandi has always been indoctrination of the young.</p>
<p>And though the majority of high school and college students likely consider themselves &#8220;liberal&#8221;, most who have a position on abortion assert themselves as pro-life. Peace, poverty and the environment might well be among the concerns for America&#8217;s young, but they are clearly rejecting the inhumanity of abortion.</p>
<p>This reflects to a degree the saying &#8220;If you&#8217;re not liberal when you&#8217;re young, you have no heart&#8221;. The majority of the young traditionally do have big hearts. But the young are just no longer gullible enough to believe that support of abortion should be mandatory for obtaining one&#8217;s liberal bona fides. Yesterday&#8217;s true liberal greats, in fact, would have little to do with the rabid progressives and feminists of today.</p>

<p>George McGovern opposed “the intrusion of the federal government” into abortion law, which he insistied should have been left to the states</p>
<p>Edmund Muskie, former democratic presidential contender: “It compromises the sanctity of life”</p>
<p>Rev Jesse Jackson who has said that abortion is “too nice a word for something cold, like murder”</p>
<p>The idealism of youth rightfully sees no heart, justice or compassion in dismembering babies and disposing of the bodies in a dumpster. Our children are proving to be quite capable of evaluating their teachers&#8217; and professors&#8217; ideologies point by point and are rejecting the fallacious arguments for &#8220;choice&#8221;. They are also of an age when abortion was an option for their mothers. A sobering thought many have likely reflected upon.</p>
<p><a href="http://radiantcross.org/Right-To-Life/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Young-In-MFL-Crowd.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-2064" title="Young In MFL Crowd" src="http://radiantcross.org/Right-To-Life/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Young-In-MFL-Crowd-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="291" height="219" /></a>The growth of the pro-life movement in the next generation can also be seen in the hundreds of thousands of young people participating in the <em><a title="40 Days For Life Website" href="http://www.40daysforlife.com" target="_blank">40 Days For Life Campaigns</a></em> and the increasing numbers of pro-life activist groups organizing on college campuses and even in high schools. Much to the bitter chagrin of NOW, the ranks of campus feminist groups have seen a corresponding decline.</p>
<p>The toppling of<em> Roe v Wade</em> is in sight, though many long time pro-life fighters may not see it come in their day. The torch, as another pro-life liberal once said, is &#8220;passing to a new generation&#8221;. Or to put into the 60&#8242;s style lingo hard core feminists are more familiar with&#8230;</p>
<p>You got the government, you got the money, but we&#8217;re gonna have the numbers.</p>

For the first time since 1973, the majority of Americans stand for the right to life. 

Undeterred, the proponents of the culture of death continue to bring the full force of the federal government, now at their disposal, to bear on those committed to overturning Roe.

So despite the efforts of millions of Americans, we are now witnessing a massive expansion of abortion services in our country, and tax payers are being forced to fund abortions, under despicable guise of "healthcare reform". 

At some point the selfless giving in pro-life rallies, marches, seminars, webcasts, blogs, etc drains the last ounce of one's ability to pursue the good fight. It doesn't mean we are beaten. Far from it. We just need to step back, let it all go and trade our yolk for His.

<p>As said previously, we believe that this shift is a backlash directed toward Barack Obama&#8217;s ruthless pro-abortion agenda designed to offer completely unrestricted abortion available to women of any age, during any stage of pregnancy. And along those lines, the proponents of the culture of death continue to bring the full force of the federal government, now at their disposal, to bear on those committed to overturning <em>Roe</em>.</p>
<p>So despite the efforts of millions of of pro-life Americans, we are now witnessing a massive expansion of abortion services in our country, and tax payers are being forced to fund abortions, under the despicable guise of &#8220;healthcare reform&#8221;.</p>
<p>At some point the selfless giving in pro-life rallies, marches, seminars, webcasts, blogs, etc drains the last ounce of one&#8217;s ability to pursue the good fight. It doesn&#8217;t mean we are beaten. Far from it. We just need to step back and let it all go.</p>
<p>At least for a while, hopefully a week or more, life has to be all family, friends and a renewal of the joy of living.</p>
<p>Most importantly we need to restore our weary souls by spending some time, one on one, with Jesus. Trade your yolk for His. Offer up your disappointments, weariness, anxieties and the outright pain in all areas of your life to Him. No one understands the human condition as well as Our Lord, because He loved us enough to become one of us. And after all of the unspeakable suffering Jesus endured to bring us salvation and the path to eternal life, He is still willing to take on our burdens when they begin to seem overwhelming.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s an offer we are not meant to refuse. Breathe. Bask in the relief of His peace and love. It&#8217;s ours for the asking.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.&#8221;</em> Matthew 11:28-30</p>
<p>When you come back remember that God knows the difficulty of the challenge before us. Let Him know, everyday, that we will utilize the talents and resources we have been blessed with in this struggle. Profess, everyday, our faith in Him as our overwhelming, inexhaustible resource and we will obtain victory for countless numbers of His unborn children.</p>

<p>Abortion is a powerful evil perpetrated by Satan, &#8220;a liar and the father of liars&#8221;. Evil of such depth, like the most powerful demons mentioned in the Gospels, &#8220;does not come out except by prayer and fasting&#8221;. Every person committed to bringing an end to abortion needs to make daily prayer the focal point of that commitment.</p>
<p>Numerous prayers to bring an end to abortion have been composed. We offer two, one of our own composition and one of our favorites by Father Frank Pavone.</p>

Most Holy Trinity, hear my prayer for Your Divine Assistance<br />
