Following upon our last post, Abortion Is About The Lives That Will Never Be, we will continue to focus on the one subject pro-choice advocates are careful never to mention – the child.

Advances in medical technology over the last several years have proven that a pre-born baby begins to experience not only the physical sensations of pleasure and pain far earlier than previously thought, but also the basic human emotions – happiness, contentment, sadness and fear.

This is why the abortion industry spends millions of dollars opposing state legislation requiring that women contemplating abortion be fully informed about truth of the extent of their babies’ development. The pro-choice argument quickly begins to crumble in the face of an ultra-sound picture of a smiling baby sucking her or his thumb in the warm, loving environment of mommy’s tummy.

Eye witness accounts and ultra-sound films have also conclusively depicted the fear and the pain a baby experiences when that presumably safest of all refuges is invaded by the hands and instruments of an abortionist.

What goes through a baby’s mind as he or she struggles alone and in vain during those last moment’s? The following video titled “Interview With An Unborn Child” portrays the remorseless, pitiless ramifications of “choice” from the baby’s perspective.

What are your words, pro-choice Christian brothers and sisters, for the 52 million children who were denied life under the auspices of Roe v Wade? The children who were never allowed to grow into who they would have been, who never experienced love from another person, who no one ever kissed – not even their mothers?

What consoling rationalizations have you to offer to the 3,500 babies whose “most beautiful dreams” will suddenly turn into nightmares tomorrow in America’s abortion clinics?

And what can you possibly tell God was in your heart and soul as you stood in support of abortion, or in silence, as they cried out for life and the opportunity to experience all that God had planned for them from time immemorial?

Nothing. Watch the video and listen to the plaintive words of the rejected, abandoned, unloved, about to be aborted child. Think about it. Pray about it.

Come home to God on life, that you may, in His Name, help to save millions of lives which may never be.

Go through any pro-abortion website, from the lowliest one paragraph blog to the NARAL and NOW sites, and we learn that abortion is about women’s rights, women’s health, women’s economic opportunities, women’s self esteem, and every other aspect of female living except maybe for fashion.

But the three words that are never mentioned are “baby”, “child” or “life”. Someone coming in from Mars would think abortion is about having a potentially malignant mole removed.

But abortion is about a “choice” between life and death. About one human being’s very existence, and all that he or she will, or will not be allowed to, experience over a lifetime.

There is no indication that following video, which condenses a little girls’ life from birth to 12 years old, was produced from a pro-life point of view. Nevertheless, Lotte Hofmeester’s life shown here really says all that needs to be said about the inhumanity and injustice of abortion.

Dear Pro-Life Legislators

Keep your heads down and keep passing legislation  – waiting periods, medical consultations, and ultra-sound pictures showing the child’s heart beating within – that requires women be given the opportunity to comprehend and reflect upon the magnitude of aborting a child’s life. These measures have proven to save the lives of children and spare women years, often a lifetime, of grief, regret and self-recrimination.

But if you really want to boost those numbers, pass a law requiring women contemplating abortion be given the opportunity to spend 2 minutes and 45 seconds viewing the condensed version of Lotte Hofmeester’s life portrayed in this beautiful video.

Because that is what abortion is really about – the lives that never will be.

The 40 Days For Life Campaigns of prayer and fasting to overcome abortion have proven to be powerfully effective. The outpouring of prayers, and the plaintive “I Regret My Abortion” signs, motivate women in crisis to stop and to think. To reflect, to pray, and to reach out for help in giving their children life.

Unfortunately for Planned Parenthood, the business of abortion is a zero sum enterprise. Every women who turns from abortion contributes exactly zero to Planned Parenthood’s coffers. Even at a cut rate $350 for a first trimester abortion, the 804 babies saved during the recently completed 40 Days For Life Spring Campaign cost the abortion industry $281,400.

No wonder Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards has it in for the Catholic Church and pro-life Evangelicals. So what can Ms Richards do about these rotten Christians and their life saving drains on PP’s bottom line?

Fight fire with lies. Haul out the “pro-choice clergy” puppets to concoct a mocking counter to 40 Days For Life. Behold Planned Parenthood’s “Forty Days Of Prayer” – for abortion.

Planned Parenthood of Eureka, California initiated “40 Days of Prayer: Supporting Women Everywhere”. The ugly farce consists of 40 one or two line invocations of well worn feminist cliché’s, pro-abortion tripe and transparent euphemisms.

To profess these ditties as “prayers”, and to utilize the name of Jesus when promoting the “choice” of abortion and honoring abortionists, is nothing less than blasphemy.

The happy little group pictured above are PP Eureka’s Clergy for Choice. Ministers who have abandoned the tenets of the Bible to answer the call of a higher power – liberalism. And in following that calling, these ministers willingly allow themselves to be manipulated as marketing tools for MS Richards and the Culture Of Death.

Those smiling, accepting faces, purporting to be God’s representatives on earth, are the snares of Satan luring frightened Christian women struggling with their faith and their consciences -

See, God understands, and is just fine with, your “choice” to take your baby’s life in one of our loving, caring abortion clinics. Just come in, and we will make everything right for you

Blasphemy is actually an understatement.

The 40 Days For Life Campaigns offer women hope. Throughout each campaign, hundreds of thousands of prayers are offered for women contemplating abortion. Prayers that these women may overcome their fears and place their faith and trust in Almighty God’s love and providence. A choice no woman has ever regretted.

Planned Parenthood plays and profits upon women’s despair. Planned Parenthood’s “prayers” noticeably profess no faith or trust in God in the midst of a crisis pregnancy, only liberal rationalizations for “choosing” death for their babies and glorification of the abortionist.

And where will Planned Parenthood’s “clergy for choice” be when thousands of the women they deceptively lull into abortion find themselves overwhelmed with grief and despairing of God’s forgiveness?

Perhaps those smiling faces will be outside Planned Parenthood Eureka, pimping for Ms Richards in another 40 Days For Death Campaign and joyfully reciting Isaiah 28:15 -

“We have cut a deal with Death, and we have made an agreement with Sheol. When the overwhelming scourge passes through it will not touch us, because we have made falsehood our refuge and have hidden behind treachery”.

As the “father of liars”, Satan is also the world’s greatest marketer. That’s how the devil perpetrates sin and evil, through the pretty packaging of attractive lies.

But eventually the devil pulls the plug. And then, on top of having to face the consequences of our choices to sin, Satan throws the very evil of those sins in our faces and hounds us with regret, shame, self-hatred and the belief that evil of such depth as ours is beyond forgiveness.

Satan has cloaked the killing of a child through abortion as a “freedom” and every woman’s “right”. The freedom and right to enjoy a better life by avoiding the financial and personal responsibility that are a part of bringing that child into the world.

The predictable result has been hundreds of thousands of women, and men, who find themselves so overwhelmed with guilt over their participation in abortion they believe they can never be forgiven, or forgive themselves. After all, Satan reminds them, they killed their own child.

But forgiveness and healing in the aftermath of abortion are there. And a good way to start is by following the example of Saint Peter.

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus shows special favor for Peter. Peter, along with James and John, is chosen to witness the Transfiguration, and to accompany Jesus into the Garden Of Olives on the eve of His Passion. It is Peter who answers for the apostles when Jesus asks “who do you say I am” by declaring “You are the Messiah, the Son Of the living God”. Jesus acknowledges Peter’s divine inspiration and proclaims Peter the rock upon which Jesus will build His Church.

So it was only natural when Jesus told the apostles that they would all desert Him, that Peter would reassure Jesus “Lord… I will lay down my life for You!”

Within a few hours Peter finds himself first stammering, and then hollering and cursing adamantly, that He does not even know Jesus. One can only imagine the shame and guilt a proud man like Peter later felt over his weakness and cowardice.

And yet when the resurrected Jesus appeared on the shore of Lake Galilee as Peter was bringing in his boat, Peter knew exactly what Jesus would want him to do.

When John shouts “it’s the Lord”, Peter leaps into the water and starts running to Jesus. He doesn’t hesitate for an instant for fear that Jesus will shun him. And we can visualize Peter, tears streaming down his cheeks, run onto the beach and throw himself into Jesus’ arms saying “forgive me Lord, forgive me” as Jesus comforts him.

That was the greatest difference between Peter and Judas. Peter trusted in God and was welcomed back into the arms of Jesus with infinite love and forgiveness. Judas continued to listen to the lies of Satan and took his life in despair.

Satan knows exactly how to exploit our weaknesses and our fears, and lays his snares accordingly. And with abortion, the devil sets out to destroy not just the life on an innocent baby, but as many other lives as he can.

For those who have fallen victim to father of lies on abortion, don’t allow him to compound his victory. Stop thinking about what you’ve done and focus on where you want to be.

Trample the devil’s face into mud and run through the water into the open arms of Jesus. He’s been waiting for you.

This year’s spring 40 Days For Life Campaign in Reno-Tahoe was directly responsible for saving the lives of two babies.

The Reno campaign is always well organized and this spring attracted an impressive number of first time participants in sidewalk prayer vigils in front of the West End Women’s Medical Group in Reno.

The first day of the campaign saw a young couple leave the abortion clinic and turn to 40 Days counselors for help in finding an alternative to abortion.

The final week brought the second save. This save highlights the value of the 40 Days Campaigns emphasis on having trained, well informed counselors available to help women and couples who really do not want to abort their babies.

Here’s are the details of the second save as reported by the participants

“This one happening late last week, as a result of Cyndy listening to God’s call and coming to the sidewalk to pray and encourage frightened parents make a better choice.”

“You see Cyndy was also carrying a sign that read “I Regret My Abortion.” Her prayerful, honest witness to the truth of abortion encouraged a Spanish speaking couple to stop. The husband shared in his halting English that his wife was having trouble with Gall Stones and had been told that she could not be treated until after she had an abortion.”

“Thanks be to God, Cyndy came prepared with our list of local pregnancy resources and “Before You Choose” tri-fold brochures (we have them available in Spanish and English). While Cyndy doesn’t speak Spanish, she was able to communicate with this husband who was obviously concerned about the health of his wife and was only doing what the medical professionals had told them was necessary. Imagine how relieved he was when she gave them the phone number of the local pregnancy center who are prepared to help couples who want to spare the life of their unborn child.”

“Because this was a case where the couple had been told by medical personnel that there was a risk to the mother, they were referred to the local ER, but after being reassured that an abortion was in no way medically necessary, they returned the following day to the pregnancy center where they will receive the life affirming help they had been seeking.”

This was a clear case of callous indifference on the part of someone in the medical profession which almost cost the life of a baby boy or girl and a couple a lifetime of regret.

As the couple learned, it is perfectly feasible to treat Gall Stones and high blood pressure during pregnancy without risk to either the mother or her baby. So there seem to be only two possibilities here. Either the physician in question simply thought it would be easier or cheaper to treat the woman if she were not pregnant.

Or the doctor has a referral fee arrangement with the West End Women’s Medical Group. Either way, this is another example of how the culture of death has corrupted the medical profession.

The 40 Days For Life Campaigns are about God working through his people. Both of the babies saved by the Reno-Tahoe campaign this spring are alive today simply because dedicated pro-life counselors were standing vigil outside an abortion clinic when their frightened parents needed someone to offer them hope and a way to give their children life.

The children will likely never know. But their parents will remember the loving dedication of those 40 Days volunteers as they watch their babies grow.

And as with the hundreds of 40 Days For Life Spring Campaign locations across the world, there were doubtlessly also other babies saved through the pamphlets handed out, the “I Regret My Abortion” signs, and simply by the sight of people praying outside an abortion clinic. God’s work.

March 31st commemorates the seventh anniversary of the death of Terri Schindler (we refuse to call her Schiavo). Terri was the only American citizen ever put to death by court order who had not been convicted of a capital crime.

But unlike your average murderer, Terri did not die quickly and humanely by lethal injection. Terri Schindler was dehydrated and starved to death over an excruciating seven day period while armed guards stood watch to prevent her family from even moistening her cracked and bleeding lips.

This is our fifth post on Terri and it might seem that there’s not much more anyone can say. But the left wing  media, the Madmen for the culture of death, have recently reminded everyone there is quite a bit to say about the pitiless death of Terri Schindler.

From Huffy Arianna’s nasty Post, down through the gutter to the Obama flunkies at OMSNBC, to the garbage mouthed KOS kids, Rick Santorum is being ridiculed and mocked for having attempted to save Terri. For trying to rescue a helpless disabled woman from death by dehydration and starvation.

And what kind of right wing Fascist would do that?

Terri was cognitively disabled as the result of a botched operation. But Terri was not on life support. Terri smiled, laughed, and enjoyed the affections and attentions of her family and friends. She was merely unable to communicate verbally or feed herself.

But Terri’s husband, Michael Schiavo, who was living with another woman and had a financial interest in Terri’s death, insisted that she be allowed to die because she had no “quality of life”. Ignoring the pleas of Terri’s parents and siblings, a FL judge ruled for Schiavo, calling it a “privacy right” – the same justification used in Roe v Wade.

The judge ordered Terri’s feeding tube removed. Some members of congress, both republicans and democrats, attempted to intervene on Terri’s behalf, including then PA Senator Rick Santorum. Santorum was one of the most outspoken of Terri’s defenders, making a point of personally visiting Terri and her family.

These attempts to prevent the state of Florida from starving and dehydrating a cognitively disabled women to death are now being referred to as the “Terri Schiavo Circus”. A “right wing political ploy” to intervene in a “family matter”. “Nobody’s business.”

Santorum typically stands by his position, which puts him yet another few heads above the likes of Barack Obama.

Desperate to convince himself that the man of his dreams will still be in the White House next year, Chris Matthews is crowing to his handful of viewers that the “Terri Schiavo Circus” would be “an election loser” for Santorum.

Well, we’ll see what happens if it comes down to Santorum vs Obama in November. But by having his minions ridicule Rick Santorum for attempting to save Terri, President Obama has staked out a position of supporting what was done to her.

And though no one here has the political acumen of Matthews, Rachel Maddow or Ed Schultz, it’s just possible that most Americans actually won’t think that someone who is in favor of starving and dehydrating the cognitively disabled to death should be “an election winner”.

Father John Hollowell, of the Diocese Of Indianapolis, is one of the many priests who are developing a strong social media following through outspoken opposition to President Obama’s Pill Mandate. Father John has been focusing the video spotlight on Planned Parenthood, America’s most disreputable business and one of the president’s foremost benefactors

Here Father Hollowell reminds the country of Planned Parenthood’s illustrious founder, Margaret Sanger. Sanger was anti-Catholic and an ardent proponent of contraception as a cure for societal ills such as poverty. Poverty is one of PP’s standard arguments for abortion. The thinking apparently goes that it is better to have never been born than to have to grow up in poverty. After all, what happy, well adjusted, successful person ever began life at the bottom of the economic ladder?

Sanger was also a proponent of Eugenics – weeding out the inferior and undesirable elements of humanity, among which Sanger included “the darker-skinned races”, through contraception and sterilization. Ms Sanger wrote that “Eugenics is … the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems”.

In the clip we see a photo of good hearted Margaret speaking to a Klu Klux Klan rally while we hear a recording in which she boasts of her “humanity”.

To counter Sanger’s racist past, Planned Parenthood mouthpieces quickly spout that Dr Martin Luther King once appeared with Sanger. Dr King, however, had obviously never been made aware of Sanger’s 1939 letter to a Dr Clarence Gamble in which the good lady laid out a plan specifically calling for manipulating “colored” ministers to actually aid in the extermination of their own people.

“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

Planned Parenthood’s current president Cecile Richards is also virulently anti-Catholic in her rhetoric, and racism still remains a component of Planned Parenthood’s business plan.

A well know sting operation documented a pro-life activist pretending to be a racist calling PP offices in Ohio and Idaho. The caller asked PP employees, in one case a PP Director Of Development, if he could donate money specifically to fund abortions for black women in order to “lower the number of blacks in America”.

No problem, sir. Every clinic was perfectly willing to accept the donations on that basis.

Now to be fair, no one here believes that Planned Parenthood is actually prejudiced against African Americans. There’s no doubt that an activist calling a PP office and offering to donate money specifically to fund the abortions of “Spics”, “Chinks”, “Mulattoes”, “Camel Jockeys”, “Queers” or “Retards” would likely be able to make a similar arrangement.

One abortion is as good as another. The only color that counts at Planned Parenthood is green.

Wouldn’t Ms Sanger be proud? Now if there were only a pre-natal test to detect fetuses destined to become priests.

The Pill Mandate is blowing up in both of Barack Obama’s faces. The diversionary attempt to rally female voters to the president’s side just ain’t workin’. Unlike elitist law student Sandra Fluke, polls and yesterday’s primaries in AL and MS indicate the majority of American women are far more angered over the president’s disastrous economic policies than they are enraptured over his contraceptive bread & circuses.

And what moves the Pill Mandate into the really bad idea column is the energizing effect it has had on the often lethargic hierarchy of the Catholic Church. Priests are generally constrained by their Bishops from speaking extemporaneously on issues even remotely seen as political. But the mandate has clearly been the final straw.

Scores of priests are suddenly letting lose from pulpits, blogs and videos against not only the injustice of the mandate, but also on the evils and dangers of abortion and contraception.

Here Father John Hollowell, of the Diocese of Indianapolis, confronts Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards on the mandate and the destructive lies and disinformation PP perpetrates upon the young, the frightened and the ignorant.

“Young people… are no longer content to be fed the lies that your organization puts out… We have no doubt that in 20, or 50, or 100 years other societies and other civilizations will look back and lump your organization in with the slave traders, the Nazis, the communists and all those groups that have sought to oppress people”!

“You better knock us out now, you and the president in seeking to silence the Church… better knock us out right now because, Cecile, I can promise you here comes the Catholic Church”!

Come on Father, quit beating around the bush and tell Ms Richards what you really think.

This is exactly the type of outspoken leadership that the Catholic Church has been lacking for decades. But finally, like every schoolboy, America’s Bishops seem to have learned the hard way that you don’t turn back a bully by trying to reason with him.

You stick your fist in his face.

Maybe it’s time for Newt Gingrich to apologize. Us too. As the brave new world brought to us by the Culture Of Death unfolds, it would seem that IL State Senator Barack Obama was not actually an “extremist” in voting to protect infanticide. The young, bright and personable abortion rights activist was just a wee bit ahead of his time.

The recent controversy concerning what is becoming known as After-Birth Abortion was provoked by an article in the Journal Of Medical Ethics titled “Why Should The Baby Live”?

In the article, an Italian philosopher and an Australian “ethicist” expand the pro-abortion argument to include new born babies. Their reasoning is based upon the idea that “Merely being human is not in itself a reason for ascribing someone a right to life”, and that the difference between an unborn baby and a new born is “morally irrelevant.”

But such concepts are not just fodder for futuristic fantasies at Planned Parenthood. After-Birth Abortions are already being performed in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands’ Groningen Protocol was published in 2005 for the purpose of providing Dutch physicians with guidelines for terminating the lives of seriously ill newborns. The Dutch are the world’s foremost proponents of euthanasia, from cradle to grave. Euthanasia was decriminalized in 1984 to allow doctors to euthanize terminally ill elderly patients under specific circumstances.

In 2002, Physician Assisted Suicide was formally legalized. Initially patients 18 years or older suffering from incurable and painful illnesses were permitted to request Voluntary Termination Of Life. From there on the angle of the slippery slope quickly tilted to about 60 degrees, and by now anyone over sixteen who feels they lack “quality of life” due to conditions such as impaired mobility or vision, chronic fatigue or psychological problems, can put in a request for a fatal dose. The Dutch Medical Association has even advocated including impoverishment and loneliness in the criteria.

So who better than the Dutch to initiate After-Birth Abortion? As with their Physician Assisted Suicide law, the initial guidelines for infant euthanasia sprung from heartfelt compassion for newborns diagnosed with terminal illnesses and adjudged to be in acute pain. But the grounds for compassionate euthanasia have quickly expanded to include just about any type of semi-serious birth defect.

In the Journal Of Medical Ethics article, the philosopher and the ethicist conclude that there is also a rational justification for After-Birth Abortions of healthy babies based upon the circumstances and feelings of the parents.

“If criteria such as the costs (social, psychological, economic) for the potential parents are good enough reasons for having an abortion even when the fetus is healthy… then the same reasons which justify abortion should also justify the killing of the potential person when it is at the stage of a newborn.”

And this exactly where the abortion movement is taking America. Infanticide is simply the result of following the justifications and rationalizations for abortion to their logical conclusion. Killing a baby is killing a baby, no matter when it’s done.

The surfacing of the Why Should The Baby Live article is no coincidence. These are not the random musings of two crackpots. The idea here is to bring the once unthinkable concept of infanticide slowly, but surely into the light. The thinking is undoubtedly that if America has become desensitized to the daily slaughter of 4,000 infants a day in our abortion mills, we can look the other way on anything.

The left has always idealized European socialism, and should Barack Obama remain in office another term, we can be sure that Obamacare guidelines for compassionate After-Birth Abortions in America will be unveiled.

Kathleen Sebelius hasn’t started wearing those designer wooden shoes because they’re comfy.

Last week two democratic congresswomen stormed out of a House committee hearing on the First Amendment implications of President Obama’s Pill Mandate. Though that first day of hearings had been reserved for members of the clergy, the congresswomen felt the need to display their displeasure that a female Georgetown University law student wasn’t allowed to lend “a woman’s voice” to the day’s proceedings.

The story generated by democrats was that the unnamed law student’s testimony would regard her need to take birth control pills to slow the growth of an ovarian cyst, but the impoverished student could not afford to pay for the pills. Hence the urgent need for the Obama Pill Mandate to force Catholic Georgetown University to include contraception in their student health plan. But the Catholic Church, the primary target of the Obama Pill Mandate, already sanctions the use of the “pill” in such cases.

Last Thursday Nancy Pelosi held a special committee hearing just to allow Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke to voice her desperate plea to have mandatory free contraception coverage included in all private health insurance plans. Contrary to the promos, however, Ms Fluke is not suffering from any medical condition, unless that term now applies to an active libido.

Here, after being warmly greeted and applauded by Ms Pelosi, Sandra Fluke essentially tells America that she just likes sex and is “suffering” because she finds purchasing contraception on her own to be a strain on her student budget.

Dame Pelosi and feminist democrats literally gushed over this woman as she entered the room to testify. Sandra Fluke received an ovation that was reminiscent of the way members of Congress would greet war heroes or the first astronauts. And Ms Fluke made it plain she couldn’t have been happier or prouder of herself as she sat down to say her little piece.

And then, with millions of Americans unemployed, hundreds of thousands of families still losing their homes, and the country sinking in trillions of dollars of debt, we see a 30 year old law student from an elite University have the effrontery to sit before a congressional committee and use the word “suffering” because she has to pay for her own contraception. We the people should start footing the bill.

And what does all this say about the direction of the once proud feminist movement? Thirty years ago it was about women who had the brains, talent and courage to do it all, and have it all, on their own. “I am proud, I am invincible, I am Woman”.

Now it’s “Buddy, can ya’ spare a rubber?”
