The 40 Days For Life Fall Campaign 2011 ended as the most successful to date, directly saving 732 babies from the vacuums, surgical shears and poisons of America’s abortion clinics primarily through the power of prayer.
Every person who participated in the campaign, from those who maintained vigils in front of abortion clinics to those who simply followed the 40 Days Daily Devotions in private, can claim a share of those 732 beautiful success stories.

Failure to support the MS Personhood Initiative by some pro-lifers was a strategic mistake
When Chris Matthews referred to Mississippi’s Personhood Initiative as one of the “most radical anti-abortion measures to appear on a state ballot”, you knew it had to be a good thing.
And all indications had been favorable for passage. Though narrowing over the weekend, “Yes” had been polling well ahead in a solidly conservative state. Yet Personhood was soundly rejected 58% – 42%. Why?
Of course the abortion lobby, led by Planned Parenthood, spent heavily to support an opposition group typically mislabeled Mississippi for Healthy Families Campaign which warned that passage of the initiative would result in women who suffered miscarriages being subjected to criminal investigations.
But there was also opposition from some prominent pro-life advocates, including the NRLC, Catholic Bishops and Mississippi Governor Haley Barber. Though this opposition was based upon somewhat understandable concerns, the failure to support the 250,000+ Mississippians who voted for Personhood At Conception was a strategic mistake.

The Unite States is in the minority when it comes to the legalized killing of our preborn children. Approximately 75% of the countries in the world have refused to sanction abortion.

The big lie – liberals never leave home without it, especially when they need to justify their promotion and support of abortion.
On Thursday the House passed the Protect Life Act by a vote of 251 – 172. With the majority of pro-choice voters even opposed to taxpayer funding of abortion, it had been hard to rationalize opposing the bill.
So Nancy Pelosi & Co were forced to hit the floor of the House with a hysterical litany of dire warnings all based upon abortion’s biggest lie – that any and all restrictions on abortion are a direct threat to the health of every woman in America.

The Protect Life Act (HR 358) will seal the loopholes nested in Obamacare which allow federal tax dollars to be used to fund abortions, and strengthen federal Conscience Clause laws.
Anyone with an ounce of sense understood that any healthcare legislation written by abortion zealots Obama and Sebelius would include provisions for the use of tax dollars to subsidize abortion.
Which it did. Within 90 days newly created Obamacare “high risk insurance pools” began accessing federal taxpayer funds to provide coverage for elective abortions. When the details began to leak, the administration was forced to pull back on the funding.
This was essentially a money laundering scheme designed to benefit the abortion industry and similar attempts will continue unless explicitly prohibited by law.

In a letter dated September 29, Bishop Patrick Zurek states that “Father Frank A Pavone remains suspended. He is to remain in the Diocese for an indefinite period of time for prayer and reflection.”
Many are understandably upset and frustrated over this ambiguous situation in which, as Father Frank points out, “The diocese is saying two things at the same time. They are saying that I’m a priest in good standing and yet they are saying that I’m suspended.”
Yet we would caution against petitions, e-mails campaigns and angry blog diatribes which, at this point, will do nothing except fuel the fire.

The 40 Days For Life Campaign Fall 2011 runs from September 28 through November 6. Three hundred and one cities in the US, Canada, Mexico, South America and Europe will be formally participating, but the true beauty of the 40 Days prayer based campaigns is that everyone can participate.
The 40 Days campaigns conduct a three pronged spiritual approach to overcoming the evil of abortion through prayer, fasting and constant prayer vigils before abortion clinics. While not everyone will be able to participate in prayer vigils, every Christian can personally commit to prayer and some type of fasting.

Demand true conscience exemption for Christians opposed to Sebelius’ contraception mandate
As we noted in The Message Behind The Pill Mandate, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ Obamacare mandate requiring all health insurance plans to automatically include full coverage of “contraception methods and contraceptive counseling” – including sterilizations and abortion-inducing drugs – is intended to establish a dangerous precedent on the power of government to establish limitations on freedom of religious expression.
The “pill” mandate signals a fundamental change in the relationship between the federal government under Barack Obama and every religious institution in America. “Conscience clauses” have traditionally exempted healthcare workers from participating in abortions and sterilizations, dispensing contraceptives and even conscientious objectors from going to war.
The token Obamacare conscience clause incorporated in Ms Sebelius’ mandate is, of course, a joke. It is critical for Christians of all denominations to contact their congressional representatives, before September 30, and ask them to vote for passage of the Respect For Rights Of Conscience Act (HR 1179/S. 1467).
