Abortion Incorporated Honors "Social
Justice Sisters"
 Planned
Parenthood recently honored abortion heroine Nancy Pelosi for her
success in passing legislation that will dramatically expand
abortion on demand in America, and provide federal funding of
abortions, under the guise of "healthcare reform".
Apparently inspired by the fact that in creating this incredible
windfall for the abortion industry Speaker Pelosi lied to every
citizen in America, from members of her own party to the bishops of
her church, Planned Parenthood created a brand new award for
"practicing Catholic" Pelosi, the Champion of Women's Health Award.
"She's walked across hot coals for us" beamed PP President Cecile
Richards.
But Planned Parenthood has done a great disservice in not also
recognizing the duplicitous efforts of a group of dedicated
progressive Catholics who were instrumental in bringing home that
wonderful windfall - the Social Justice Sisters.

the full force of the federal government, now at their disposal, to

So despite the efforts of millions of Americans, we are now
witnessing a massive expansion of abortion services in our country,
and tax are payers being forced to fund abortions, under despicable
guise of "healthcare reform".
At some point the selfless giving in pro-life rallies, marches,
seminars, webcasts, blogs, etc drains the last ounce of one's
ability to pursue the good fight. It doesn't mean we are beaten. Far

we will address a common position taken by pro-choice Christian
organizations. Their overwhelming concern for the poor is considered
to be a far more important Christian issue than abortion.
The gospels do recount Jesus' love for the poor and His admonitions
to His followers to care for the poor. And all Christian
denominations work to support the poor and to address the root
causes of poverty. But Our Lord was equally concerned for the
dignity of the poor and, without doubt, the fate of their souls. As
in "Man does not live by bread alone".
Many, very well intentioned, pro-choice Christians have let
themselves be led astray by the political argument that abortion is
somehow a poverty issue. This "abortion benefits the poor" argument
is, however, one which degrades women and families in poverty in the

wonder Florida Governor Charlie Crist finds himself a politician
without a party. A man lacking principles, convictions and integrity
rarely has much of a crowd around him.
Well known as a flip-flopper and double talker, Crist exemplifies
the bottom of the barrel politician who muddles his/her position on
abortion in hopes of deceiving voters on both sides of the issue.
The types are well known. Democrats who are "pro-choice, but not
pro-abortion." Political flim flam. Voting for

fall's campaign the lives of 571 babies were known to have been
saved. With pro-life sentiment escalating in America, even happier
results are expected from this spring's endeavor which will be
conducted in 163 cities across America.
Undaunted by the opposition of the most pro-abortion administration
in the history of Roe v Wade, the pro-life community continues to
work tirelessly to the win the war against abortion

year, however, still remains small.

Blooded is a far more appropriate title for a pamphlet encouraging
teenagers with the Aids Virus to get out there and enjoy their

Terri Schindler Memorial
 March
31st commemorates the 5th anniversary of the death of Terry
Schindler. We do not use her married name Schiavo. It was her
husband, Michael Schiavo, who fought in the courts to have Terri's
feeding tube removed and have her starved and dehydrated to death.
It took thirteen agonizing days for Terri to die in this manner.
Armed guards kept anyone from even giving her cracked ice.
A circuit judge concluded that Terri's life lacked "quality" and
ordered her death. Little did America realize at the time, that in

A stunning 59,000 "nuns" who, in defiance of the US Conference Of
Catholic Bishops, have come out in favor of the abortion
promulgating senate healthcare bill.
Maddow, at her "perkiest" best, asks "Who would you pick in a fight?
Congressman Bart Stupak or 59,000 nuns?" Dionne titled his
Washington Post Op-Ed column today "On Health Care, Listen To The
Nuns".
Well there are nuns, designated as such by the Catholic Church. And
there are vocational sisters. And then there are "progressive
Catholic" vocational sisters.

others.

 "Judicial
Activism" has evolved into a commonly accepted practice in America's
federal courts. Many liberal judges clearly feel empowered to create
constitutional rights based upon their particular views of society's
needs and ills. And the beginning of this corruption of our
judiciary can be directly traced back to the 1973 Roe v Wade Supreme
Court decision which created a non-existent right to abortion in
America.
To anyone with a true understanding of the principals of the
founding fathers, Roe v Wade is clearly unconstitutional because it
denies an entire group of citizens, America's most helpless
citizens, the fundamental right to life. But considering the current
composition of the Supreme Court, and the political climate in
Washington, Roe v Wade will likely stand for the foreseeable future.
So other paths must be pursued in defending the rights of the
unborn, and a new avenue of attack was suggested by Rabbi Yehuda

democratic Senator Ben Nelson sold out. It's true and the pro-life
community is disappointed, angered and despondent. Sen Nelson had
repeatedly vowed that he would not vote for the senate version of
"healthcare reform" unless the bill included strict language
prohibiting the use of federal funds for abortion.
Instead, at the 11th hour, Senator Nelson caved. Not to pressure,
but to temptation. A $100 million payoff to Nelson by way of a
permanent exemption from increased state contributions to Medicaid
for Nebraska.
Senator Nelson has been roundly castigated. And deservedly so. But
he surely has heard our voices and now is the time to forgive. We
all err, and we all succumb to temptation on occasion. And in
Senator Nelson's case there is ample time for a generally staunch

Coat Hanger Hysteria
Berkeley, CA has
once again distinguished itself in the category of, well let's just
say unseemly public behavior. The Berkley City Council, by a vote of
8 - 1, yesterday voted to send letters of displeasure to 20
democratic members of the US House Of Representatives who had voted
in favor of the Stupak-Pitts Amendment to the House "healthcare
reform" bill. The Stupak amendment prohibits tax payer funding of
abortions.
 Mixed in
with the hundreds of thousands of other letters already pouring into
the House expressing "displeasure" over you name it, the council's
letters needed that extra Berkley touch to get the special attention
correspondence from Berkley deserves. And when progressives have the
need to express themselves on abortion they usually like to say it
with coat hangers.
So with each unhappy letter, the Berkley City Council included
a coat hanger.
Sure, everyone gets the extremely clever idea. But this tasteless
display of feminist effrontery says more about the bitter, obsessive

Chris Matthews must have been a hit around the OMSNBC water cooler
Monday night. The abject rudeness and sarcasm with which Matthews
conducted his interview with a Catholic bishop on the issue of
abortion no doubt sent tingly sensations, similar to the ones Chris
says he gets when Barack Obama speaks, up the legs of all the
pro-abortion gang at the least watched "news" network on television.
Rambunctious hugs from Keith Olbermann and Andrea Mitchell. A
sisterly kiss from Rachel Maddow. A great night to be a progressive
liberal.
Never mind that all the "hits" Matthews thinks, or at least hoped
others would think, he scored against Bishop Thomas Tobin, Diocese
of Providence, RI, were based upon false premises and liberal
claptrap. With the country steadily moving against the liberal false
idol of abortion, someone had to get on the air and take the
Catholic Church down a peg or two. And the obvious choice was
someone who had already shred his dignity and lost all credibility

Finally Taking A Stand?
 The
Catholic Church is finally confronting a member of the Kennedy clan
on abortion, at least in the case of Bishop Thomas J. Tobin, Diocese
Of Providence, RI. Bishop Tobin has not only called out Rhode Island
Congressman Patrick Kennedy on Kennedy's criticism of the US
Conference Of Catholic Bishops stated opposition to abortion funding
in pending "healthcare reform" legislation.
Bishop Tobin has also made it crystal clear to Kennedy that his
arrogant defiance of the Church's Catechism on the subject of
abortion "is unacceptable to the Church and scandalous to many of
our members. It absolutely diminishes your communion with the
Church". Though not officially barring Kennedy from the Sacrament,
Bishop Tobin states that Kennedy, and other "pro-choice Catholic"
politicians, should not receive communion.
We have repeatedly posed the question Where Is The Catholic Church?
on the matter of the Catholic legislators who enable the
million-plus abortions in America each year. The type of stance

Mandate Means Stopping The Bill
 The
Pelosicare version of the president's healthcare takeover bill is
scheduled for vote on Friday. Speaker Pelosi's pride and joy is
everything the pro-life community, and the country, feared. HR 3962 is a socialist manifesto comprised of 1990 pages of
business and personal mandates, business and individual taxes,
penalties, new bureaucracies empowered to make medical decisions,
and federal funding for abortion.
The final attempt to eliminate funding for abortion is the
Stupak-Pitts Amendment offered by Bart Stupak (D MI) and Joe Pitts
(R PA). The

 Saturday
was our first experience of being on the "front lines" in the
struggle to save America's unborn. In conjunction with the national
40 Days For Life Campaign, we participated in our church's prayer
vigil in front of an abortion clinic.
Though always opposed to abortion, it is only within the last two
years that we have become actively involved in the pro-life
movement. The unlikely overturning of Roe v Wade appeared to be the
only hope. Our involvement was limited to voting for pro-life
candidates and offering prayers for their success.
It was Catholic cable station
EWTN (Eternal Word
Television Network) that led us beyond passive support for the
pro-life cause into active involvement. Like millions of Americans
opposed to abortion, on principle, we had never actually taken the
time to contemplate the horrible realities of what happens during an
abortion. We never realized the extent of the physical and
psychological damage often inflicted upon women who have undergone
an abortion. Never understood the depth of sorrow experienced by men
who have lost children to abortion. Never truly reflected upon what
an abomination the dismembering of a screaming infant must be to the
loving God who bestows life as the greatest of gifts. Never stopped
to think about what an affront a national policy of abortion on
demand must be to the gracious God Who has bestowed so many
blessings upon our country.
And more importantly we were not aware of the success being achieved
by thousands of pro-life activists combating the evil plague of
abortion, saving

(OH) Dispatch Senior Editor Joe Hallett carefully poised the loaded
question to RNC Chairman To Nowhere Michael Steele asking "if there
is room in the party for a pro-abortion rights candidate"?
Clueless, and likely hopping up on the nearest table in hopes of
being caught by a CNN or MSNBC camera crew, Steele emphatically
responded "There absolutely is, there absolutely is… and that's a
very important step for the party to take, I think, and I'm looking
forward to help lead that charge in the future."
Now if Steele can just persuade Bob Dole to head the GOP ticket in
2012, happy days will surely be here again.

Abortion Hustle
 The
"Healthcare Reform" hustle on abortion is now being aided and
abetted by liberal religious organizations citing the Capps
Amendment to HR 3200 as proof that President Obama has no intention
to include abortion services in the "public option". Congresswoman
Lois Capps is seen at the left demonstrating against California's
Prop 8 initiative restricting marriage to one man and one woman.
Obamacare supporter Chris Korzen, executive director of Catholics
United (Catholics-United.org) gave the group's imprimatur to HR 3200
claiming “The inclusion of the Capps Amendment represents a positive
step toward health care reform that preserves existing policies
prohibiting federal funding for abortion services...".
It remains to be determined whether groups like Catholics United, or
Jim Wallis's Sojourners, are intent on fooling themselves, merely
bent on fooling others, or both. Even casual perusal of the text of
the amendment bares it for what is intended to be. Legislative bait
and switch, written in Clintonese and riddled with loopholes.

An avowed proponent of "separation of church and state", Mr Obama
seems to have found religion in a foxhole as barrages of civil

"there are some folks out there who are, frankly, bearing false
witness", referring to concerns that government intervention in
America's healthcare system will inevitably lead to rationing of
medical care.
The president, however, rendered himself the ultimate false witness
during a second "private call" with 40 rabbis. Mr Obama pointedly
admitted that under Obamacare end of life decisions will indeed be
placed in the hands of government as, verging on blasphemy, he
arrogantly proclaimed "we are God's partners in life and death".

US Senate finally got it's mind right. The Senate Finance Committee
announced it will drop section 1233, the Death Panel provision, from
the senate's version of "healthcare reform". The announcement came
after indignant denials from the distant left that any such
provision existed anywhere in the various versions of Obamacare
under consideration.
While section 1233 was euphemistically titled "end of life
counseling", anyone familiar with government controlled healthcare
programs understands the concept for what it truly is. Guidelines
for the rationing of medical care to the elderly, and eventually,

This
victory for life can primarily be attributed to the undaunted

boiled down to the by now standard Obama MO of declaring an imminent
crisis and reciting a cliché. The cliché of the evening was "no one
can be denied coverage
of pre-existing conditions". The deliberately misleading big lie
inherent in all government controlled health care. Because
"coverage" does not equate with, or guarantee, treatment.

To Pray For Dr Tiller, Not
To Praise Him
 We
had not originally intended to comment on the slaying of infamous
late term abortionist Dr George Tiller. The true pro-life community
acted as one in pronouncing Tiller's murder a heinous act that was
an affront to God and pro-life principles. We joined other Christian
pro-life advocacy groups in praying for Dr Tiller's soul and his
grieving family. The murder was despicable and perpetuated by an
obviously mentally ill man. And Dr Tiller was what he was. There
simply did not seem to be much more to say.
But such an incident is apparently not destined to be put behind the
nation quietly. To our surprise, and dismay, there were indeed
people, including some lesser known talk radio hosts, applauding
Tiller's murder as legitimate defense of the unborn.
